Anyone commenting guy should go to the bank should know banks only take change if it’s rolled up. They’ll give you the coin rolls for free if you’re a member but gone are the days you can bring in a big bag of change to a major bank and get cash back at no charge. Sorting/manually rolling coins is tedious and getting a machine that does both cost 100 bucks plus so unless you’re paying in cash/receiving coin change often you’ll break even after that cost. BUT coinstar does allow you to get full value if you get a gift card instead of cash. Lots of major brand choices (apple, wal mart, Amazon, Nike, etc.) that most people would use the money to buy stuff from anyways.

Coinstars take a small fee for their services, like 5% and they're receipt is usable only at certain places like gift card restrictions.

01. Choose something really expensive from a supermarket. 02. Take it to a self checkout. 03. Scan items. 04. Put in all your coins. 05. Cancel payment. You should get the exact amount back in notes and spare change. It's better than Coinstar that takes a 12%. Or better off, just go to the Bank.

Holy shit man. Get coin wraps and take them to the bank. You lose about 30% of what it's worth. 12% to the company the other 18% in coins that were never counted by the machine. Every single time it's a fucking rip-off

I sleep in my truck during the work week because there's no decent paying jobs near our house and I see people living in their vehicles nightly. I've been fortunate to not be harassed but the events of the past 3 years are going to lead to homelessness at a level America has never seen

And I get that. I have seen that as well. Have also seen people with criminal records drugs and illegal guns. This was one female and one incident. I never know who I will come up on, but I could tell this couple was genuine and needed something. Not police and anger.

Banks in Uk won’t accept it unless it’s bagged up. My stupid misses would say to me use; the Coinstar or Constar to be precise at 12%. That’s £12 in every £100. She’d tell me; How much do you value your time counting it out, bagging up and taking it to bank. I’d gladly accept her advice if she wasn’t spend her him watch crap on tv and internet. She lives mortgage free owns two properties and spend money like water. Nah.. I count it thanks darling. Remember their was a time we didn’t have £12 to spare. I shall remain humble
