I took one long lesson and mostly fell. I do not feel any control to catch my balance L/R. Is this a good method for that? And what is the dreaded taco? Great video, the front prospective is perfect, but I had to turn on subtitles and it worked. Thanks

Balance improves the better you can bend your knees while maintaining and upright position. I recommend taking my online eFoil course at www.skool.com/efoil The taco is when the rider collapses on the board or wing.

Wide stance doesn’t work as efficiently on foils. The wider the stance the more your legs have to move in order to maintain pitch control. Foiling is flying a wing not riding a board

Having the money is one thing, but these absolutely rip in the waves. Think of having instant torque and the ability to power through turns on waves. This machine does 30mph. Basically motor cross of the sea

There’s no leaning in foiling in general. Only forward and back weight shifting. If you lean, the board naturally resist and levels out causing rider to crash. Banking the board, shifting the weight back and compressing through the turn is much more efficient

Hey Steve, easy fix. The reason the back leg hurts is mostly likely due to your overall stance being too far forward. The further forward your stance is the more back foot pressure is required to create lift. 🤙🏽🤙🏽

yessir! shims are based on weight, wing choice and preferred riding style. Best way to find the best shims for yourself is to test every combo. it will help you understand your board better and really dial you in.

Depends on the state in the USA. But on the lake I work on, if you are operating anything that has a motor of any sort, you must have a life vest on/near you.

You clearly don't live by an ocean so ill explain... There are rules, those rules include where surfers can and can't surf, where boats can and can't boat, areas and activities that require a life vest and areas where no one can boat or surf... these rules are in place and enforced for everyones safety and continued enjoyment...

It's the law in US coastal waters to have life preservers/life jackets for as many people on your recreational craft. Doesn't matter if you're an adult, child, etc. This is so people don't pointlessly die. Even people on Jetski's 5 feet from shore need one as you never know if you fall off and end up in a tide that yanks you out to sea.

Those laws are in place for your safety, just like wearing a seat belt in your car. yes you can break those laws but you do so knowing there is a penalty should you get caught. And while the potential risk to anyone but yourself may be minimal the potential aftermath of an accident in this case it hundreds of man hours, thousands of dollars and other people putting their lives at risk dredging your body from the ocean floor.
