“If X, Y” and “Only if Y, X” are equivalent - can you show how this works for this statement “If it rains, the ground will be wet”?

Sure, here the corresponding conversion would be "only if the ground is wet can we conclude that it has rained" OR "(it is necessary that) the ground will be wet if it rains. Hope this clarifies
