You fixed bankaccount and a house "quickly" looking to the Swedish System, the environment pictures are awesome, one of the reasons we moved to Sweden. Enjoy everything that was still in the house.....Swedish people sell the house and leave everything in it😅. We once almost bought a house here for the asking price but told the owner he has to clean it up and get everything out first......we did not get the house 🤣 (He was a Norwegian by the way).

Welkom in Zweden! I used to live and work in NL before, in Breda. 😊 The "cars" for young ppl are called "A traktor". They are supposed to be restricted to a maximun speed of 40 kmh, some are a not so legal though. They used to be considered as a farming vihicle. Sorry that you were tricked by the shitty sellers of your van, unfortunately thats is rather common. with vans, but thats a hard lesson for a first time buyer. Don't let the mold stay there, sell it honestly or repair it. It's not healthy as it is now. Same with buying a house even if you have a bit of legal protection for hidden faults here if you buy via a broker. Harder to claim when buying private. As buyer you do have a responsibile to inspect for visible faults. There are gyood free apps for levelling of the van. Learn about Allemansrätten to enjoy our nature the fullest, you did good though. Excellent handling of the campfire. You might need a license to operate your drone living in Sweden: www.transportstyrelsen.se/sv/luftfart/luftfartyg-och-luftvardighet/dronare/dronarflygguiden/ Suedes are not sky, however we respect ppls privacy. Just way hi and don't hesitate to ask if you need help. I hade the same economical struggles as you as an illegal alien in NL.😅 Hope this will help you to a plesent start of your otherwise so nice adventure. /Erik

Haha my first comment was not published, just this add! The comment was that yes, you have to contact the municipality and let the company they hire do the chimney sweeping/sotning, every 3 years if the chimney is attached to a non-primary source of heat or every year if it is attached to a primary source. And it is cheap when they do it, like 500-600 crowns! So I wouldn’t do it myself 😊

Congratulation to your new home. That home is what we call a Sommarhus (Summerhouse). Its really a house not ment for winter living. Since ”bathroom” is outdoors. Water will freeze in winter ofcourse. Indoors it seems to have a wood heating atleast. But if that’s the only heating it got, you need to find an other heating solution before winter. Feeding the beast (wood heater) will be really annoying really fast. Second issue is ofcourse the outdoor bathroom. That also is a thing that needs to be either insulated, heated, or moved indoors before winter. But that’s a bigger project. Good luck. And I will subscribe.

Good tips indeed. I am busy now with getting myself a sceptic tank and building an indoor bathroom. And also airco or heat pump will be arranged to survive winters 😚

Regarding bank accounts. I was planing to live in USA for about five years. But when my bank heard that, they threated to close my accounts. And well, I cant be unbanked in Sweden. So I had to change my plans and not move over. I just cant risk it. Everything went to shit after 9/11 and all stupid laws that came to effect after that. Im gonna buy a swedish house out in nowhere instead, cause Im tired of it all. Gonna live in peace, looking at nature.

There are a few very irretating laws about what you can film. Basically anything showing the horizen you need a permission for spreading. The rules are in Swedish cause ofcourse they are. But from what I gathered, any structure showing in the distance is bad. The more zoomed in the picture is on what you trying to show, the less likely it is to need a permit. I for one cant even use a drone at all where I live, but I also live near an airport so that makes some sense. I do not know how strict they are about it all.

Hej Kees-Jan! If you want the ladder secured, there is a special hook to attach under the roof tiles. In Swedish it is called "glidskydd". or translated slippery protection. If you get it, the ladder will stand firm and straight. If you need a sweeper, the sweeper requires "Slip Protection". Advice from a Swede who heats with wood: Never use only birch wood or "a lot" of birch wood. Birch emits tar. The tar settles in the chimney and you could have a chimney fire. Always mix birch with or other hardwood with softwood. If you have a lot of birch, you must use a soot remover. Use Google and type "avsotningsmedel". Also write in Google "glidskydd för stege".

For everybody inspired by Kees-Jan's move - it is vital to know and accept (because you can't change it) that Sweden functions like this: from midsummer (21th of June and forward) to mid-August Sweden operates in vacation-mode, it is like driving at the lowest possible gear, just to somehow keep up appearances of working and managing. Around the rest of the year work-weeks are regularly cropped on Mondays and Fridays, and people you want to reach are in meetings all the time. If possible try to operate through self-service on the internet. If you believe you can fix one thing with one telephone-call be prepared it takes 10 calls and 10 days, as an average - occasionally more and rarely less. Have patience and start politely, the 10th person is not aware of your previous struggle. When you speak in Swedish never use the future tense including the world "ska" - that word is your worst enemy. It sounds to a Swede like you are ordering her or him about. In egalitarian Sweden you make yourself impossible. No amount of 'please' or 'bitte' can eradicate one "ska". All the best wishes!
@kjschuil8 күн бұрын
Tack så mycket for all your efforts to explain this 🙏😊
@DNA350ppm8 күн бұрын
Also remember that Sweden lives week by week and weeks are officially numbered. Especially important weeks are in southern Sweden weeks 8 and 44 - but learn those in your region - these vary so that not all families travel in the same week on school-vacations, and in these weeks prices for travelling go up regularly! And be aware of the "röda dagar" - red days, when no promises apply about prices, opening hours, and business days - in Swedish calendars these days are marked in red text. The most devious are those days that look like normal working days to, but are special, some are called -afton, but not all, some are religious, but not all. Get a Swedish calendar and check them often. Very tricky are opening and visiting hours within health services and public transport and other varied services, baths, libraries, dagis/fritids, and municipality services/offices.

15:29 Recommendation from a film maker. First zoom in then start the camera then zoom out. Take it easy, not so fast. It makes it easier for the viewer to see what you want to show.
