I've.... been listening to this, remembering being so terrible to my past partner. This song is relatable on account of the fact that this is basically my own POV of how I was to him. The guilt is immence. Since going to therapy, I've been able to recognize the pattern of my own behavior.

“The rise of the king and the fall of the queen”actually makes sense because this was made one year ago 2023 and that was when the queen died and King Charles the third was crowned then

I believe a lot of you guys are missing the ACTUAL meaning of the song. I believe it talks about mental illness and how those living it may be unaware what their actions actually do, or to what extent they hurt others. I suffer from BPD (Boderline personality disorder) and I actually strongly resonate with these lyrics. While this song may not be about BPD specifically the song does describe a lot of negative behavior that actually comes with the disorder and many others for example the lines “I would react badly to the slightest hint of hesitance.” Many people with mental illness especially those with BPD react strongly to ANY sign of hesitance or abandonment. She also mentions mood swings which comes with an array of mental disorders especially BPD. She mentions how she knows how “her tears felt like acid burning through his skin” shows sign of manipulation to keep him from leaving or guilt tripping him, while also “every little button but for the one that let me in” also shows how she would purposely distant herself from him, this can be strongly seen in people in BPD who have strong attachment issues but will also distance and hurt others to distant themselves. It’s important to note how people suffering mentally can do this without even knowing how damaging their actions really are hence how she was “surprised in the hatred in his eyes.” Yes the man is the victim. But this song also talks about so much more than just that! But idk what do y’all think?

So she was abusing him,she literally said"I'd cry knowing how my tears felt like acid burning through his skin so she is actually the real one abusing and hurting him she is probably in rage but Jesus she doesn't need to do that to him, he's literally in pain from what she's doing to him😰
