The only reason Dostoyevsky books are difficult to read is because they are boarding, incoherent, lots of dialogues and monologues filled with discriptions that are totally unnecessary. But once you read one book you will get the idea for the rest and they all look alike. Honestly this guy is overated

One thing I can't understand is why does Wordsworth spend so much of his time in solitude away from the people whom he implies he loves so much, so why doesn't he spend time with them?

This book was required reading for me in high school in the late 70s. I don’t remember a thing about the book. This review did not jog any memories.

It's amazing how no one has done justice to this novel on the television or movie screens. It does have a wonderful graphic novel, however.

Anti Social behaviour is a topic that should be getting taught to ALL kids in primary school,OR nurseries or preschools! So then they understand WHAT it is,AND how to deal with it,AND how much it can effect other people. Videos, like THIS helpful one, would be PERFECT to use,as then SO much more can get learnt within it.

I thought the narrator was contemplating suicide but is forced by his many responsibilities to press on.

Frost was in England and unlike a fellow poet decided not to enlist in WWI. His friend died in the war, the road less traveled, not enlisting made all the difference.

JUST FINISHED the novel after a couple of months. It has been a great experience reading this novel. In my own opinion chapter 1-4 was the prime of the novel but as we go on to the next chapters a lot of characters are introduced and various of scenes are remembered including the log of demeter, renfield's peculiar behavior, the blood transfusion of lucy wenstenra as well as her transformation and death as a "bloofer lady", and finally the chase of dracula up until this final battle.

EXAM QUESTION "He wrote about the "Jazz age" but didn't play a note". Explain his credibility as an observer of his time. OR Can a White man play Jazz? & with whom?. (that will sort out the racists from the musicians) Thanks for a thought provoking lecture.

Elizabeth marries for money. I want to believe she doesn’t, but in this chapter she confesses to her sister that it was seeing Darcy’s beautiful estate that made her change her mind. It wasn’t any of his other characteristics that Austen spent nearly half a book showcasing. I am very unsatisfied by this aspect of an otherwise very good book.
