If we are talking concealed carry for the local scene, getting compact is kinda pointless, no? AFAIK you can't use concealment IWB holsters in the Philippines. If you are gonna use a quickdraw concealment bag, compact size won't matter that much, you are better off getting full size.
@bad.international2 ай бұрын
We don’t recommend carrying a firearm in a bag. It’s the first thing that will get snatched away from you

while that is true, i have actually never heard of anyone being arrested for that, probably because the courts will not waste time and money to prosecute someone for not carrying in a bag a licensed weapon with a permit to carry.

No, No, Yes if you’re in the Philippines Overhyped and overrated would be the Springfield Prodigy. The Staccatos are awesome entry level 2011s that run very reliably. They’re priced correctly in the U.S. for what you’re getting out of them. Here in the Philippines they’re overpriced since they’re just a slight bit cheaper than a Nighthawk which is absolutely insane when you think about it

IMO, $2300 in the US approximately P130,000 to P400,000 or $7000 here in the PH. Sure there are duties and taxes to be paid, as well as profit margin for the one selling it but for the price to be more than tripled the original price is remotely justifiable. Yes it is worth the price, IN THE US. Here in the Ph for that amount in my opinion is not practical by any stretch of your imagination.

Hey PJ, great video. Appreciate the content you've made. Hope you make more videos. I want to ask for consumer advice as a novice gun enthusiast, I'm really interested in purchasing a UDMC S5 DGIS, it has an attractive price and it's locally made. However, I am apprehensive about the reliability issues, some points you touched on already in this comments section. With all the modifications you've done for the upper and lower receiver of this gun, have you had any other issues or has it been completely resolved? Cost-wise, is it cheaper/worth it to modify the UDMC or should I just get a Colt M4A1(or some other big name manufacturer) and put my mind at ease? Thanks!
@bad.international4 ай бұрын
It’s actually cheaper to modify the UDMC S5 DGIS than it is to buy a Colt AR in the Philippines. The base model Colt ARs are going for 190k pesos for a base model AR with thermoplastic handguards from Topspot. You’d still be modifying the base model Colt ARs. Better go with the S5 instead

Can a company UDMC make a mini 14 style for civilians,3lbs.trigger pull with match grade barrel/bull barrel.
@bad.international4 ай бұрын
There’s no point in getting a Mini 14. If you live in the Philippines, there’s no weird restriction on firearm like a pistol grip ban similar to that found in ban states. If you live overseas, UDMC has yet to export any of their firearms like Armscor
@MrAnimeMilitary4 ай бұрын
On March 4, 2024, it was announced on the news that the PNP will now once again allow semi-auto rifle ownership for civillians again and would be effective in approximately 15 days or so from the announcement. I am thinking of getting a DGIS S5 myself once I upgrade to a type 3 LTOPF. I do have some questions though. 1. Is that a 16" barrel with a carbine-length or mid-length gas tube? 2. Regarding the stoppages and issues you experience thus the upgrades you did, is this a 1st Generation unit that you acquired before the ban was put in place? If so, are the current Generation DGIS S5 more reliable now? 3. Was the rifle not tuned properly and under-gased causing cycling issues? If so, did you have the gas port enlarged a bit to cycle effectively? 4. What buffer weight are you using?
@bad.international4 ай бұрын
1. It’s a 14.5” carbine length barrel in the video. You can ask them to make a 16” barrel with a mid length gas tube. It’s actually what I got for my second rifle from them 2. The rifles we got from UDMC were prior to the 2016 rifle ban. We’re unfamiliar with the reliability of the rifles that they’re producing now, but we’re hoping it’s more reliable now 3. The gas block front sights were not aligned properly which was causing one of the issues. It’s why I switched it out with a low profile gas block and changed out the handguard. We’ve heard from certain people online that the hole for their gas block on their barrel is too big which causes some issues for the users. 4. It’s a Spike’s Tactical T2 buffer
