This is such a valuable card. The 3 x categories are very generous. I've had it for almost 2 years now. Museums, aquarium and similar do indeed count as 3 %. Cap1 gives you the points/cash back shortly after the transactions post. There's no minimum on how much of your cashback you can transfer. It's very practical and you can take advantage of your points days after you pay (or purchase something)

In terms of the GOH award, it’s seems something similar happened to me, where I was gifted the award, I called in the apply it to a stay I already had booked. I finished out that stay, and the benefits were recognized, but I still have a GOH award in my account. I’m planning on applying that to a stay at the Andaz in Tokyo that I have booked

What about an honorable mention for the Chase Aeroplan Card? 3x world-wide groceries & dinning. Bonus spend categories, redemption bonuses, and status upgrade. It’s probably the first consumer card that I get when I’m 3/24. The downside is that you’re locked into the Aeroplan system.

I personally like the Strata Premier for EVA business class. Aeroplan is in alliance with EVA but never releases reward availability for that.
@TheUsflow2 күн бұрын
Strata Premier is not even in the discussion because it is the same earning as SavorOne for $95 more. The only decision is between Savor and SavorOne. My pick is the Savor, which is $230 cheaper than the Gold (which isnot accepted at many restaurants) but still gets 4x dining and the slightly less 3x groceries isn't as important since we buy groceries from places like Walmart (which doesn't take mobile wallet). USBAR is not great because you can't hand your phone at sit-down restaurants. Too bad Savor isn't available anymore!

Citi Strata Premier big advantage: bonuses always work in Canada. You guys sometimes refer to "abroad" for non-US spend, but remember the significant minority of your audience that's straddling the Canada-US border with cards issued in both countries.

Tips on traveling with a family would be most appreciated. When you drill down, it seems that most KZfaqrs/bloggers usually travel solo or with one companion. Not a family. "You can travel business class around the world!" Yeah sure, do you how many points I need for a family of 5 to travel business/first class??? I guess we could fly way over in there in style, and then sleep in the street. So yeah, more tips for families.

I don't think the premium seats are any more than extra legroom as I believe every seat will be getting a holder for phone/iPad and probably power, but we'll see. I am most disappointed because they are taking away the comfortable seats that are still left on the 737-700s. After they change the seats on all the 700s, I don't think I'll be able to fly the airline at all.

My my personal gold card af just hit at $250, while I like most of the new ways to migrant the af, the main reason I am going to cancel within the following 30 days is that I am tire of the monthly credits on TOO MANY OF MY CARD. I have decided that I am only going to manage 5 cards with monthly credits as its a way of doing business these days.

@frequent-miler6 күн бұрын
@@agasque Totally understand. We've found the long form to really appeal to a lot of people, but I know there are only so many hours in a day. A couple of thoughts/suggestions: 1) We publish a weekly coffee break episode every week on Tuesdays. Those episodes cover a single topic in 20 minutes or less (or your money back). 2) As you'll hear in this week's episode, we're breaking out Card Talk to be is own separate weekly episode to talk about just that single card. I expect most of those to be 3-10 minutes long. 3) You can adjust the speed of playback. At 2x speed, I still find our voices easily understandable and it takes half the time to listen. 4) We keep the timestamps in the show notes, so if you don't want to dedicate an hour all at once, you can easily go to the timestamps and skip around or come back to where you left off. All that said, not every medium is right for every person, so know that you've always got the blog and our Facebook group as other places to get miles and points info. Thanks, Nick

If they were to ditch the grocery or restaurant multiplier I would cancel as soon as it went into effect! I clean up on those multipliers so there would absolutely be no reason to keep it unless they came up with a multiplier that made sense for the average person.
