I really don't know ANYONE who covers these deep issues in the Dance world & of course reflecting socially in actual life~ Socializing with love & respect! Always admired you for so many years~ Best Salsera!! I told you before: you have "ears" on your feet! (PS: I miss watching you perform Solos! I watch your older shows & as a mostly solo performer as well I enjoy them SO much to "steal" from you!! LOL!) Please offer us when you're ready another masterpiece of your beautiful musical interpretation AND like NO other smoothness of connected movements~~~~~~~~ xxx Like in Musical terms your "legato" is flawless!

Magna you were always one of the nicest and most fun of the advanced dancers. Asking one of the instructors/performers to dance can be scary the first couple of times but you were always cool about it. BTW this type of song was always my top conformable tempo.

Watching this to find inspiration on where to take my dancing next. Feel lost on what to train next. Feels refreshing to see these two dance seemingly flawlessly, then a flaw arrives, and it does not seem to bother them.

Great video! As both a student and a teacher of dance I totally agree. I always hate it when the teacher doesn’t set up the room for success, because it means that I have to endure distractions during a lesson I paid money to attend. The students so appreciate it when the teacher demands respect in the way you have described.

After a dance, how do you deal with people who want to be funny, but do something inappropriate or something that makes you a bit uncomfortable? I saw you kinda thought about it and then played it off- I’m thinking you maybe knew him enough to realize it mal-intentioned.

I knew a guy who had been offered a job in Houston with an oil company. So when he got here they told him sorry we hired someone else. He stayed in Houston. But for sixty years he would drive by that oil company's gas stations and buy his gas from another oil company's gas station. For him, and for me, negative emotions are enduring because they highlight a sense of unfairness. My expectation of something being right was betrayed. Secondly our culture emphasizes negative emotions. Thirdly, negative emotions tend to cluster together. I can be mad, sad, and afraid all at the same time. It is tough to control one's emotions, to feed the good wolf as you suggest. After several decades I am getting better at it.
