Lazy left hand, or maybw its a pattern youve developed. You need to keep your left hand up after throwing shots. Youre resting it low probably due to bad habit from fatigue.

I've never seen this in slomo like that, and I'm realizing this: Overeem got cracked because he didn't move his feet or head when he threw. If he'd made that left a check left, and pivoted back off his lead leg, his head would have been too far for Francis to connect with his own left. Costly mistake. Overeem WAS moving back, but he started moving after he threw, at the same time Francis countered. He threw then moved, instead of throwing while moving. The best example of it I've ever seen was Floyd vs Ricky Hatton. The best in MMA was Mac Danzig vs Joe Stevenson. Check those out so you see what I mean. Overeem planted his feet and tried to trade with a bigger stronger guy. Bad idea.

No hate, but tighten up your hooks, there is a time and place for that wide slappy hook you’re throwing but in general you should be throwing it much tighter. It’s a close range punch.
