I believe the lineup with Jonah Sithole and Robson Banda helped produce such a Masterpiece. It is rare to have a rhythm guitar leading on Gwindingwi rine Shumba. Ironically, his self imposed exile has affected him more than anyone else. Mapfumo would traverse the countryside picking up on mbira tunes to bring them to a modern audience.....Now....

I'm damn near fifty, listened to mostly underground punk since I was 16. I gravitate toward the skramzy side of things. 1,000 Travels of Jawaharlal is a band whose short discography I return to again and again. Some other favorites, in case you haven't yet listened to any of these and love this band like I do, include City of Caterpillar, Saetia, Heroin, Indian Summer, Human Hands, John Henry West, Page 99, Orchid, the list could go on and on but those are a few others I find myself forever drawn towards.
