Although I have loved Tom Petty for many years I never delved into the group itself much until I got Sirius radio and listen to Tom Petty Radio 95% of the time in my car. I love the songs Mudcrutch does and will definitely buy their albums. This is a great little video but I always get teary watching him talk, just being the great person he was. Miss you Tom.

Always thought this song was Tom's answer to his resistance to putting out Won't Back Down because there were no metaphors to hide behind. Metaphors galore and just as strong. Sempre fideles!

The quality of this track is beyond amazing! I can hear all the instruments playing at the same time! What a brilliant band, and of course, Tom Petty is and will forever be the most prolific songwriter and performer of all time. NO ONE can replace Tom Petty!

This song feels like the spiritual successor to his '89 classic single I Won't Back Down -- and yet, with no disrespect to the latter as I love Full Moon Fever... Scare Easy easily surpasses I Won't Back Down in most every way. It's unbelievable that Petty is topping his own incredible heights, nearly 20 years later. "I am a loser at the top of my game" has to go down as one of the all-time great lyrics. Petty really had some incredible stuff going on in '08-'10, with the Mudcrutch and Mojo sessions at that LA-area practice warehouse they had. Scare Easy, Lover Of The Bayou, Something Good Coming, and Trip To Pirate's Cove... dude was pushing 60 years old at this time, and making some of the absolute best music of his life. Magic.

Picture this, 2008, just got done watching a Cake concert in SF and are now back at the hotel. Order some sh!tty food and order appaloosa on ppv as we eat. At the end during the credits this song comes on and I am confused. I know it is Tom Petty but don't know the song. Mud crutch!!! It is now on my playlist forever, such a great song. 👍💪

I love Mudcrutch!! Both albums are a lot of fun. I used to think the first one was better, but lately the second album has slowly emerged. I heard this was the last album Tom made, makes "I Forgive It All" very moving, for me. Take care folks. RIP Tom✌
