What prevention method to taken if raining happen during boring of bored hole and during casting of bore hole?is there any effect if the bentonite mix with rain?
@geohanmedia4963
@geohanmedia4963 Ай бұрын
A good practice would be to cover the hopper on top of the concrete mixer truck with a canvas to minimise rain water during concreting. As for bentonite, priming the mix with new bentonite mix to achieve its desired density and viscosity would do.

Hi, i would like to enquire bout the difference of kn/m2 or ton/m2.. how do it calculate and convert? i've check many website still dont get a simple answer. some warehouse building spec will show i.e 5 kn/m2 some will put 3 ton per meter. let say if i have a pallet weight 500kg in a meter wide. How many pallet (500kg each) i can stack on top of it if the spec given is 5 kn/m2.. do it make any difference if use the stack rack like many other warehouse?

What if the load cell shows reduction? Do we have to jack it back to the calculated force?
@geohanmedia4963
@geohanmedia4963 Ай бұрын
Yes, sometimes the load cell would show reduction due to elongation of the PC strands, relaxation of the locking wedges or the pile continues to settle. We would continue to increase the load or jacking until the desired load/force to continue the test.

Temporary steel casing is push down first and then start drilling...or it both go down together? If it is together, how the casing being tied to the odex system?
@geohanmedia4963
@geohanmedia4963 Ай бұрын
The drill bit would go down together with the temporary casing. It is quite hard to explain here, how the odex system works. Probably we save it for another vlog. Thnx

Great explanation. Some nitpick comment. 1. There is intrumented working pile as well. 2. Both have same risk to topple..wait until you see one..laymen call "anchor tercabut".🙂

Will this be effective on the rocky slope where Earth cutting is preceded by blasting use dynamite
@geohanmedia4963
@geohanmedia4963 Ай бұрын
Yes and no. A similar system on rocky slope would be named as a Rock bolt. Rock bolt only may not be sufficient after blasting. A mesh or rock netting system maybe needed to prevent rock fall.
