I have an ARRI WCU-4 + ARRI cforce RF mini. Is it possible to do R/S to a V-Raptor S35 via a 3 pin to ARRI Cam (7p) cable? I have the Tilta Advanced I/O Module for RED V-RAPTOR which allows for the 3 pin. Will any 3p to 7p cable work (i.e. my old one that I used with my Tilta Nucleus-M?) I.e. which cable do I need?

Hey there, with the K2.0015754 Cable CAM (7p) - RS (0.3m/1ft cable the basic function R/S from ARRI are given, but we cannot guarantee whether they are supported by a third party box.

Ah this reminds me of that time Arri released the perfect camera. It had an accessible ND switch on the front of the camera, programmable switches next to the operators right eye, built in XLR with phantom power, balanced perfectly on the shoulder, tool-less top and bottom plates AND was actually affordable and used affordable media…..

I really like the Touchdown tripod mount! It may very much be sacrilege to say, but I would love that system on my existing Sony cameras as they look incredibly easy to use, Whilst odd to say, but it reminds me very much of a modern excavator bucket attachment system where slop is also not welcome and a tight fit essential.

Hello Sean, Thanks as always for this well presented & informative video! I have a specific use case question for controlling the camera via WiFi when it's on a gimbal. In environments with a very full WiFi space (I'm thinking specifically of a resort/casino/hotel location) would we be better off connecting both the monitor and the camera to one of the existing networks to maintain the best connection, rather than have our router battle for signal space? Thank you in advance for your answer!
@ARRIChannel
@ARRIChannel 16 күн бұрын
Hey there, thanks for the comment. In general, using an external WiFi network that is properly managed by an IT department will result in a more stable connection than trying to use a host network from a camera, if that host network has to compete with the situation that you're experiencing. It's a difficult question to answer definitively, as there are many variables, but it would be worth discussing your requirements with a network professional.

Is the bpa5 adapter compatible with the bps-2? I want to use a traditional dovetail, but don’t need the studio rods.

Why does Arri make accessories for competitors cameras?
@sa.t.2507

Because Arri is the standard in the video/cinema level of work. By doing this they secure their place in the industry and increase their brand recognition.

Hey there - we know that not everyone has the opportunity to shoot with ARRI cameras all of the time, but we believe that they should still be able to rely on rock-solid camera support! Most of the industry standards we take for granted now-a-days were developed by ARRI (15mm rod standards, PL and LPL mount, dovetail and bridgeplate), and we have many customers who only trust ARRI gear on set. Especially where safety is concerned!

@@ARRIChannel Can you ask ARRI if they can create a small camera for us poor people? We'd be happy with a simple camera that shoots 4k 24/25. You can make it super barebones. Just a V-mount, on button, and a usb-c to connect an iOS device.

Yedlin's approach, so no nonsense, no woowoo, no talk of vague magic essences... It's honestly very refreshing. Highly recommend watching the presentations he has on his website demystifying all the usual subjects of cinematographical willful misinformations and naivities.

upper left at 5:10 looks really noisy and banded to me even in 2160p/4k, anyone else? Still, some really beautiful capabilities here. You could arguably shoot a whole movie with those two lenses.

It's a technical issue with the KZfaq MP4 AND Webm video compression formats that cause macroblocking, fuzzy edges and noise. The enhanced Wavelet-intraframe encoded versions I see on websites such as Vimeo are MUCH MUCH better! These CMOS image sensors and lenses are so good that we are now seeing video encoding issues which require the Internet to changeover to a new video encoding algorithm in order to see the best image quality. I would suggest a 2x2 pixel granularity Fractal encoder as the BEST image quality standard for intraframe video distribution codec!
