kid: be careful, I saw a tic toc where self-cleaning ovens burn out the safety controls and start house fires. me: silly you, I saw a tic toc hack where putting my blackened sheet pans in the oven they will clean up like new. 4 hours later, the oven is flashing an F5 code - apparently the temp control is hosed. The oven door won't unlock. Looks on tic toc for fix. We reset breaker after 5 minutes, nothing. We unplug the oven overnight, nothing. Today, I found your KZfaq video and unlocked my oven with the self-clean reset hack. BTW, the baking sheets look brand new. Thanks!

We have a Frigidaire from 2002. had a cracked cooktop and the dual element had burnt out. the new element did not have the same wiring. Your video helped me realize how to test the new element and figure out that the high limit switch was different. I think I got the n and l1 backwards or did something to the warning element, but it seems to work. There were all kinds of little springs that kept the elements off the brackets. mine was really hard to work on slide-in-range, it was all I could do to keep the elements sorted out and get it back in... and to top it off we couldnt find a glass cooktop replacement for the same model, but we found it rebranded and a different color/kenmore elite grey vs frigidare gallery white... we're ok having a black cooktop... as long as it works. the cabinets and floor were built around this, so it is hard to replace.

Thanks for watching. Have you verified that both heating elements are working? kzfaq.info/get/bejne/d6ifo8ho29KZeY0.html If the bake element fails it can create issues. The bake element provides 80% of the heat during a bake cycle, the broil element is only on 20% of the time. In this case the oven might still heat up during a preheat but once it switches to the bake cycle it will shut off the broil element more often resulting in a reduction of temperature.

Thanks for watching. Before anything else it is best to make sure that your furnace filter is clean and that the air ducts are clear. If you ever need to check the ignitor, clean the blower wheel or clean the flame sensor, then the furnace power should be turned off either at the breaker or directly at the power switch by the furnace. The flame sensor is not a temperature sensor. It's a flame proving device. It's just a metal rod that checks if there's a flame present. If your furnace lights, the flames stay lit for 7 seconds then it shuts off, then it's likely a dirty burner, dirty flame sensor or a bad connection.

@AmreSupply
@AmreSupply Сағат бұрын
@@preetipokhriyal1914 If the sound is coming from the heat switch, it's likely faulty and will need to be replaced. If you have a ceramic cook top, and the click comes from the stove top, it could be an issue with the limiter for that heating element. If you have another burner on the same type, that uses the same heat switch you take the heat switch (for the burner that doesn't work) and install it on the burner that works. If you get the same behavior, then the heat switch is faulty. If it heats up and works fine, then it's likely the limiter in the heating element that has been shutting the element off before it can heat properly.

Thanks for watching, we're glad you're finding the videos helpful. It is not common for all 4 burners to stop working. Does that also include the oven elements? In this case it is likely an issue with one of lines of power to the elements. From the terminal block you can trace both the 120V lines to the heat switches. Test for continuity between the terminal block screw and the wire terminal going into the heat switches. This wire will branch so you can test it on different heat switches (but considering that all elements stop working intermittently then it's likely an issue before it splits). If there is no continuity in any of those tests then part of the wire might be damaged and the damaged segment will need to be repaired, or the entire wire harness replaced.

Recently I almost got died due to Electrical Switch Short Circuit. I lost literally everything I had in my Hostel Room. Physically I saved myself but I had almost 6 lakhs loss. On 10 march 2024 I wake up at 6 am I felt very cold so I turned on hot air giving small round heater and slept again for about 3.5 hours. When I wake up on 9:30 am another bed was fully burning from the underneath of the bed where there was switch. When I wake up fire was already getting big and big. Eventually I couldn't do anything and run out of the room and on panic state watch my room burning. All of the people got panic and they couldn't do anything either. Whole room got burnt. Nothing left Nothing. After that fire brigade came and controlled the fire. And Big Coincidence I am exactly 1st Semester student in Bachelor of Electrical Engineering at TU , IOE , Pulchowk Campus, Kathmandu, Nepal. So I am researching how was that big fire accident happened. i concluded these things. - there was a lot of burnable things like books and clothes near the switch due to short circuit fire ignite and it immediately spread out amongthings and started burning massively. - as I mentioned I used electric hot air blowing round heater fan for 3.5 hours due to over use for long time continuously short circuit happened. -i guess the ampere Capacity of the hostel was just 5 A. which couldn't hold the load -about 35 students live in that 3 floor hostel. there was massive electrical overload on that building electrical systems. -the wire, fuse, switch, wiring and entire electrical system was very old, because that house itself was very old. I guess they didn't change switch and wire for one time after the construction. Electrical Systems was aged. - before 2 months when I used that switch to charge my laptop the light of the room was blinking and blinking. I told warden of the hostel about the problem but he just ignored and said me to use another switch. that day heater was used in that damaged switch. As a Electrical Engineering Student I analysed everything of this biggest accident of my life. By all these things going wrong in electrical system of that room got burned due to Electrical Switch short circuit and I am baring heavy mental stress and losses

Thank you for sharing your story. These are difficult situations and are exactly why building codes have evolved the way that they have in places like North America. Is this reasoning correct? If u set gas oven to 350 and temp never changes but PREHEAT light comes on. Gas is not flowing and ignitor comes on. Check resistance and it is bad. OL on multimeter. I am thinking that since temp never changes except for heat from ignitor and temp is never reached, the temp sensor is sending improper signal to control board and board is not allowing flow of gas. Is this correct. Also blew some compressed air via bottom inlet to regulator and in closed position , no air came thru but in open , it did. Also checked for continuity in gas safety valve and it was good. New oven and it only lit a couple of times with a loud cutting off of gas which sounded like ‘WUFF’ I am trying to confirm my thinking is correct or not? I have to go pickup new temp sensor and install in couple of days. Display has thrown NO CODES whatsoever
@AmreSupply
@AmreSupply 10 күн бұрын
Thanks for watching. The reasoning seems solid, and the reason the control board would not throw codes could be because the temperature sensor is faulty and has the wrong resistance. As a sensor fails the resistance can shift, this can trick the oven control into thinking the oven is a different temperature. You could test the sensor with a multimeter to see kzfaq.info/get/bejne/oNSkktCG3MqwaKM.html As well make sure the sensor wire connections are secure and there is no grease or anything that might interfere with the signal.

Thanks for watching. The aerator has threads so if it spins it should unscrew more. If the threads are stripped or damaged then a new faucet might be needed. It is possible that the aerator is blocked with debris or minerals. If you think that the plumber has damaged your system during a repair, then they should fix the problem they created.

My faucet doesn’t have mounting nuts. 😩😭 Each supply line goes into the faucet through skinny, little pipes.

I don’t know what the hell the plumber did to my faucet, but my sink hasn’t been working right since he last worked on clearing the drain. Today, the faucet wouldn’t let out any water, but it was leaking out from underneath the pedestal when I turned the water on.

@@melisaco79Thanks for sharing. Any work on the drain should not affect the faucet. It is possible that some of the supply lines were bumped while accessing the drain.

What are the reasons that typically makes sensors and solenoids unresponsive?

Thanks for watching. Dead batteries, faulty connection, or a faulty sensor or solenoid can all show up as a similar issue and prevent a flush. Solenoids can fail mechanically or electrically, and humidity and corrosion can interfere with any electronics.

@@AmreSupply Thanks a lot for your response. I guess the issue I was having was the solenoid failed mechanically. Keep up the great work.
