No Other Gospel Gal 1:6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Gal 1:7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. Gal 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. Gal 1:9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

In regards to natural law and actions being life giving, something that is very rarely spoken about is that unnatural sex acts are not permitted in marriage as they are physically harmful and encourage the use of the other person (and are against God's plan for marriage). Tony and Sheena, can you be brave and talk about this one day if you haven't already. God bless you.

I grew up with Fr. Colm. In the same class with him in school in Birr. Absolutely amazed to see this video randomly come up on my feed today. The exact same soul I remember from all those years ago. Great to see him again.

In case you're wondering what the Catholic vision for marriage is (at least in part), jump to 34:05. Thanks for the discussion! I would respectfully recommend that you try to be a little more clear as to what we're talking about earlier in the conversation. I think it might be easy to lose some folks who don't really know what the Catholic teaching is.

Once the Rector in the seminary gave off goodo to the seminarians for going "off the path" in the middle of a guided tour. Fr Chris intervened quietly and said it was his fault (in order to abate further chastisement) Only I heard it. Ill never forget that small act. He did'nt have to do it but he did! A true Fr 🙂

What a wonderful interview! It’s so good to know that catholics in Ireland still talk about catholic doctrine this Way. I am catholic from Brazil. My daughter and her husband went to Ireland two weeks ago to live there. I am going to visit them in October, but I’ve already visited some churches virtually. They are so beautiful… God bless you all. 🙏🏼

I love you Father Columb, but Reiki is not channelled through a guide, ( the Japanese version) its considered chi, life force energy which could be translated as Holy spirit ( fruits of that).... I'd love you to explain more. I take your point about why not just say its Jesus or Holy Spirit and not call it Reiki.... but most Catholic healers would surely call upon Jesus or the Holy spirit to oversee it all anyway..... and there are many Catholic healers, sadly unrecognised.... im not trying to be right.... I just think that Jesus was a healer too and some of his disciples.....

The bible reading nonce ignoring the crimes of priests on people, what makes it worse is the echo chamber going on in that cult to make them feel part of a group and then if paedophilia got legalized then the nonce chops get what they wanted

couldn't disagree more madfuttips64, sure there were a few bad apples and they did terrible things, and caused real harm, a lot of which was to the faithful priests who are tarnished as child abusers as a matter of default positioning

On the upside the movie Gone with the Wind was three hours and 58 minutes, so I suppose two hours and 18 minutes being less time than that is a plus, and, since it is not 3:58 I won't need to mutter Clark Gable's famous line. None of this is to say I disliked the video and such, it's just LONG - too long for one sitting. Worthwhile, but an edited version might be nice as well. Just a thought, since this is my third or fourth visit to the video to continue watching and I am only about 54 minutes in. Will I ever finish watching? Even I don't know. At some point I began to feel like they are forcing me to read Beowulf all over again. No offence meant, but man it's long. Best wishes! God bless! Love that priest!

Though not a Catholic I was educated by them. I never heard a priest speak of marriage this way ; but then it always seemed rather ridiculous to me priests giving marital advice when they themselves had never been in one.

Sadly the greatest percentage of abuse by clergy were homosexual acts by homosexual clergy but it was ignored. Why? Was it because a large number of clergy and bishops were and are pro Lgbt... whose objective is to normalize what the Church terms a "disordered desire"?

The Bible is not meant to be read page by page. Go to Mass. Listen to God's Word in an organized fashion with the priest's teaching as your guide. Do not try to read the Bible cover to cover. Three years of Mass will give you the whole Bible in a way that is palatable in a supportive environment.
