Good Lord, just pure, raw, conscious, hype lyrics. What hip hop should really be like. No matter who you are or what you're facing in life, and no matter the time or era, this is just straight up pure, class A rap!!

First time listener here, I love it! Genuine question - did this come out before or after sugarhill gang/rappers delight? It certainly sounds like one was HEAVILY influenced by the other 🤔

Good song...I remember seeing the record when I was younger, but never heard until now! I love "DJ" songs from back then...I think I did not have any currency on me that day; or NOT "enough" to wanna cop THAT record...LMYAO! Had to be VERY selective...

I've been looking for this song for 36 years. The first time I heard, I was on a radio station in Dallas, Texas. When I got back to Cali, I never heard it on the radio or played anywhere. I always asked about it, but no one heard it. Tonight, I typed in, "I am the manipulator 80s rap song, and it popped up. This beat was hitting then and still hits hard now.
