They have excellent modules for different softwares like Yara, Suricata, FortiOS Splunk ect. They gives you badges after completing each module, do you think it's worth posting them on LinkedIn, or does it look like you are trying too much? Isn't GRC much more than Audit? How about leading governance activities (committees, forums etc., ensuring adherence to policies and standards), risk (risk appetite, stability and resiliency, KRI) and compliance (ensuring effective controls are in place)? Also there is a bunch of regulatory and external exams to deal with. Curious about your thoughts here.

correct GRC is a lor more than audit! This is an old video, much has changed since then and I’ve solved the problem of lack of proper GRC training! Watch this: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/eZx5ms6kp9axdmg.html

Ya, this is basically correct. I'm a full time pen tester and agree with what you are saying here. Though, there is a lot of satisfaction in getting an exploit to work and you can share your excitement with your team, as long as they are not jealous types or general assholes. Another challenge not mentioned is being able write, act and present yourself professionally. You also need a certain business acumen to communicate to customers about what your final report means to their business. The customer may say something like: "ok but what do I do about it?"

if you love CISSP so much just do it (if you haven’t already) and ignore my ‘thoughts’. Just don’t be dispappoibted when you find that people in senior roles in cyber security (not IT or networking or helpdesk) don’t give a toss about it

That's not unique to europe, they're thrown around world-wide, this is not new. It's a wish list, if you've got experience no one cares, but since you already have them so this list won't matter to you anyway
