I'm confused. Who lives in that tree house, the Owl or the Kestrel. And what was inside? It looks like a squirrel, but was it a baby owl or baby Kestrel?
@somersetbarnowllive14 күн бұрын
The Barn Owls live in the box. There is one inside and one outside, then the Kestrel turns up.

To watch the curious look on the owlets face was just wonderful. The world awaits 😊 I loved how the other two thought it was an intruder. Thank you

It really is! Scary time also. We always worry they may fall!

That ain’t no kestrel! Kestrels are tiny, and wouldn’t dare mess with a barn owl.

Nature is all around, even next door to a road and passing traffic. A most diverting video of what goes on in other lives.

If we protect the Owl then we protect the Earth. Stop Globalization before it kills us all.

What is with these Kestrels constantly trying to steal the nests of owls? I had no idea this was even a real thing but it is. I have seen so many videos of it and in everyone...the owls are literally whooping the kestrels. Spanking them over their knee...if they had them. When will they learn to just find an uninhabited spot?
Animal life is largely one endless chain of predation.

One of last years perhaps the way it flew on the board and jumped in like it looked familiar
@somersetbarnowllive3 ай бұрын
Certainly seems familiar to our pair but the last few years chicks have been ringed and this bird doesn't have one. Might be one from further back though.
