These are excellent videos and VERY useful. I fully appreciate them. Can I make suggestions? Slow them down a bit, lengthen the time. They just fly by a bit too fast. The graphics are amazing. Well done to the designer. I would like them to be just a bit less flashy, i.e. the coefficient flash could tone down a wee bit. Otherwise I LOVE this video and I hope there is a full series of all the USDF tests each year. Highly useful, and sharing with all my dressage friends.

Thank you so much for your feedback! I've been trying to match the movements to the voice-over, which is why they move pretty fast, but maybe I could add some space in between the movements to add to the length. I used a lot of graphics to make them kind of fun, like a video game, but maybe a bit over-the-top? Or maybe dependent on the audience? Working Equitation folks might like the graphics, whereas classical dressage folks might prefer subtlety. 🤔

Regarding the graphics, are you speaking about the information on the purpose of the test levels that is featured in the beginning of the video or the double coefficient titles and directives during the tests? I was trying to make them fun, but I could try toning them down a bit.

Hi Lisa, I am creating a Second Level test and want to include your suggestions. 1) I removed the Double Coefficient graphics and included "Double Coefficient" underneath the Directives for movements with double multipliers. Do you like the examples of the horses performing the movements or do you prefer those to be removed as well? TIA

Michigan here...am doing a virtual test this coming week so your video is a big help. Thank you. I know this is "serious" and I am "serious" about ma riding but the sound effects coupled with the graphic did make me giggle. It's a good idea to use a graphic with short interspersed footage of real H+ R combo's. The voice-over is super and the graphic is more of a "directive" in its own right... nice one y'all.

Thanks for your feedback, Lori. I will be releasing a Working Equitation video next week that will discuss the plans with the channel. I will be focusing on 2022 Western Dressage for the year. After the WE tests go up, I'm going to experiment with a stripped down format that will still help viewers learn the tests and the movements, but will entail less work for me so I can get them up on KZfaq faster. Oh, sorry, I meant Lory! And my plan is to start with the Intro tests and work up. Depending on how long it takes to complete each test, I might post all tests of the same level in one video, or I may still keep one video per test. If I do the latter, I usually post the last test of the level as that's typically the qualifying test for championship classes.

Those will be on the list after the WE test I will put up. Intros and Basics go faster as there are fewer movements to each test, and they also generate the most views, so I'll be focusing on those tests after I upload WE Novice Test 2.

Unfortunately, I don't post too often because they take so long for me to make, but I'm still learning all the features in my editing software, so maybe some day, I'll be able to whip them out a little quicker!

I'm so happy you enjoy these! I plan on getting all the western ones up and am contemplating a slightly different format that will display the movements, but not be so graphically intensive with the animations so I can get them up quicker.
