Taylor has aged and looked bad the last few fights. Styles makes fights of course. Teofimo really schooled n beat Taylor up in the 2nd half. Not to mention Taylor struggles to make 140. He’s used it as an excuse before and yet keeps fighting at 140 while only getting older. Pretty sure Jack wins!!

I like a big show, and it was the first time in a while I got those butterflies and nerves (which only Boxing can bring - football doesn't do that to me). I thought the entrances were so good from both - perfectly representing each fighter and great songs.

What a fight! Electric pace from the start and credit to both men for their bravery and endurance to make it to the finish. They ate some brutal shots and a draw, 114-113 or 115-112 for either fighter is understandable to be honest, it really depends on what you like. Rematch unlikely in October due to the damage they've taken but must happen IMO and a trilogy if Fury wins. I do think we have to do away with this pound for pound term as heavyweights fight a certain way due to their size. Right now Usyk is the best boxer in the world and what an achievement since he was undisputed at 14stone4 and now fighting 18 stone men. You could call him the best ever if you take his amateur career into consideration. What a sport and it's flying at the moment! Much love guys and gals ✌🏻

The last question was completely clear to me. I think that boxers speak English at the level of ordinary foreign citizens without developing in other progressions. I am also Ukrainian. They have no idea what a fleet is.

Amazing to watch him change a gear in the rounds after some adversity before and just boss it, you can see the opponent think wtf is happening
@thesmithsnerd
@thesmithsnerd 2 сағат бұрын
@@christopherparsons591 that comes from deep within, it’s seeing your opponents level, and raising it, it’s daring them to even up it again, and so often they can’t, but even if they do, even if he’s in with a special fighter cut from a similar cloth, Usyk will somehow dig again, it’s just that battle of wills, he’s unbreakable.

How can he say with a straight face that lyson give Usyk a boxin lesson at any stage of the fight 🤷🏻‍♂️🤣🤣 Usyk gave away 40 pound and batterd him literally from rope to rope and alot of referees would of stopped the fight in the 9th , i wonder if the referee would of done the same if it was the other way round which i very much doubt , the size advantage that everyone was goin on about meant absolutely nothin and Usyk knew it but lyson is so far up his own arse that him and his team were givin Usyk very little chance of winnin because apparently hes the best of our generation with 6 title defences 3 of which were to the same fighter 🤷🏻‍♂️🤣🤣havin people believin that he litterally cant be beaten BUT Usyk shown everyone who is the pound for pound best fighter by literally batterin lyson from rope to rope and most referees would of stopped the fight in the 9th so hes lucky he seen the 12th nevermind come anywhere near on points 🤣 the better man won fish eyes just deal with it and move on UNLUCKY 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🖕

Andy Clarke provided a false narrative suggesting Usyk was clearly winning the fight after 5 rounds. All the rounds were close and many thought Fury was up by 3. He needs to be careful with how he provides a view. No caveats given, everything in absolutes.

Who’s the “many”? Most people I know, myself included, and many industry experts, ex pros & pundits had it exactly the same as me.. Usyk taking the first 3 rounds, Fury taking 4 through 6. It was pretty easy to score

I’m a bit disappointed in the lack of analysis here: it was a pretty easy fight to read… Usyk takes the first two and a half rounds, baffling Fury with feints and level changes; ducking inside the jab and spearing straight lefts to body and head, Usyk has Fury on the back-foot almost from the opening bell. Fury starts to read Usyk’s rhythm in the third and will go on to take control of the next three and a half rounds; leaning to his left to give him the space to whip up that right hand and catch Usyk coming in, or catch him with a lead left in the mid-range as Usyk looks to reset. Here is the crucial moment. By the 7th, Usyk has switched tactics; his front foot finds the outside of Fury’s lead. He’s cutting off Fury’s space to his onside, forcing him back to his right. This is the genius: Usyk isn’t just taking away Fury’s most potent weapon - Fury’s moving away from his target, that whipping right must travel across his ample frame to reach Usyk - now it’s a vulnerability; walking Fury’s undefended right hand side directly onto his own left cross. Through the 8th and 9th, Fury is beaten. Usyk’s tactical switch has blindsided him in every sense. Not for the first time, Fury will show remarkable powers of recovery to hear the final bell; but the reserves are not there to bend the fight back in his favour. It is a masterful performance from Usyk, and one that seemingly will go largely under-recognised… I also feel you’ve totally missed the point with the referee in the 9th. Fury sags into the ropes after the left hand lands. The ref could’ve counted then, though I don’t criticise him for not doing so. Usyk follows up with a barrage of unanswered shots that leaves Fury reeling into the ropes again. Here the ref gets in between Usyk and Fury, but does not initiate a count. Usyk must walk around the referee to continue his attack as Fury desperately tries to avoid the blows, and again the referee puts himself in between Usyk and Fury but does not initiate a count. Finally, Fury stumbles into the corner and for the first time the referee is not positioned between Usyk and Fury, but this time he does step in to initiate the count, with Fury going on to be saved by the bell. Arguably, this made it look like the ref was trying to save Fury from a lost point by not decreeing the ropes had kept him up; and then to save him from a knockout defeat by decreeing the ropes had kept him up. I don’t think there’s much truth to this narrative, but the scorecards proved the count in the 9th was pivotal. Had Usyk not been given the decision it would’ve stunk every bit as much as Lewis-Holyfield I did. On which, I didn’t score the fight because I wanted to enjoy it as a fan - and I think it’s important to remember that you cannot do both - but my sense was Usyk took an early 30-27 lead, Fury got it back to 66-67, and Usyk closed out at 116-111 with the 10-8 in round 9. The 3rd, 7th and 12th were the swing rounds.

Fuck me you broke it down half decent but your score is too wide buddy in my opinion n majority of the opinions I've seen online n from podcasts n pros n also no judge gave it anywhere near that so you have too realise this is just your own opinion on the fight geeza not fact!
@thesmithsnerd
@thesmithsnerd 2 сағат бұрын
@@Sean-pm3vdhis score isn’t wide at all. Fury only won three clean rounds, 4,5,6. Usyk won 1,2,3,8,9,10,11 clean So already it’s 7-3 with very little debate. The only swing rounds were 7 & 12, and they’re called swing for a reason, ‘cos they could go either way, so you can’t argue with them going to Usyk for a 9 rounds to 3 win, with a 10-8 in there I couldn’t split the 7th so have it even, and I gave the 12th to Usyk, being that Fury was down and badly needed a big round to have any chance, yet it was still Usyk pressing the action and being the aggressors in an otherwise even round. Giving me 8-3 Usyk with one drawn for 117-111. Looks wide, but not when you score round by round and give reasoning. Even if you wanna give 12 to Fury, it’s still 116-112. To even make this fight remotely close in the cards, you have to give every single swing round to Fury, and he still doesn’t win.

I had it 117-111. A lot of rounds were close and could’ve been 10-10 but Usyk managed them so well and did enough to seal them imo.

Good stuff, fellas, think you over egged Fury’s success through 4-6, though. Uysk wasn’t in desperate trouble, copped a decent uppercut and some body shots but it’s an undisputed boxing match, you’re gonna get wet. He figured it out, adjusted, and took the fight away from Fury.

I said before the fight Fury should go backwards and throw combinations as Usyk came forward. Fury did the first bit really well. He won 4-6 because Usyk didn't take the risk of getting inside. In 7 Usyk knew he had to take that risk. When he took it, he found he could get inside, and hurt fury. That turned the fight.

I’ve followed Usyk for many years and he’s one of my favourite fighters of all time. I couldn’t be happier for him. And as much as I love to watch him fight. I would like to see him retire now. Fury will NOT take this well and I honestly don’t think he can get that out of himself again. And I think Usyk could. But I don’t want him to, he’s completed the game. If there is a rematch, it certainly won’t be this year. I think Tyson falls off the rails now and it gets delayed until the contract is obsolete. If Rematch doesn’t happen Usyk will walk away. If Fury fights again it would be AJ. But, I’m not even confident he’d win that one now. That was a seriously damaging fight. More than the Wilder ones as it was a sustained beating in parts of the fight. And after all the hits Tyson has taken I don’t think he can do this anymore!

Usyk is and always was the better fighter. There is a reason Fury ducked Usyk for 2 years. People need to have a hard look at Fury's record post Klitschko and his antics in avoiding the top guys. He and Wilder conned the division for YEARS. Fury is a top heavyweight and his story and come back is amazing but best of all time claims was absurd . He was never the best of his own era let alone all time. I always thought Joshua would beat him but again he managed to duck him too for YEARS. I also think Klitschko may have ironed him out in the rematch but again he ducked it. Styles make fights and if Fury faced more of the top 10 he would have lost before Usyk 💯
