I cannot tell you how much this song means to me. And how emotional it made my mom, both the first time she heard it, and every time after.. lost my grandma in September… and if I’m being honest.. I’ve had a lot of sadness.. lots of thoughts like “if I’m never going to be as close to anyone else like I was with her, I don’t want to keep living.” And many other thoughts.. I don’t really know… but I do know that your song has helped me in some ways.. just cope and get through things.. I just wish it could see her again.. talk to her again.. tell her how much I love her.. even though she already knows.. I just wish I could hug her.. tell her how much she means to me..

Lost my Mima in September… 2023. September 27th actually… She was always my person.. and I was always hers. She was much more than just a grandma to me.. and my hand was holding hers, my head was on her chest.. when I realized her heart had stopped beating.. It is still the strangest and the most wrong in this world…. That I’ve ever felt. And I don’t believe that I’ll ever feel more wrong or more horrible than I did then… and that feeling… I’m here to tell you doesn’t get any better. I’ve been close to most of my grandparents.. and her the most… and it just doesn’t get any better. Or easier.

Lauren, I’m just coming across this song for the first time & it caught my attention from the title. I fell madly in love with my Soulmate while he was Production Mgr. for Restless Heart in late 90’s. He was my dream come true & I moved to Nashville for him. We married in 2004 & built a beautiful home. I lost him 10 years later & I feel like I will never ever let anyone back inside my heart again. Alone & dealing with memories replaying over & over. The lyrics are perfect in this song. I’m also so so sorry about your Mom. She was my age exactly & I have come way too close to those same thoughts because I miss him so much & so lonely. ♥️

My grandparents raised me, my grandfather was my hero and my grandmother was my rock. Both are passed on and although I'm thankful they're together I'd give anything in this world for just one more second. Amazingly beautiful song. It's got me crying that "can't breathe ugly cry", but thinking of them makes it worth it. Thank you for this, I found it at a time I needed it more than I ever thought I could.
