i've used this method on a couple of bosses but never tried raphael. is there any reason your player character got downed when you used blood money? i assume it's a raphael thing because nuking orin like this has no consequences for anyone in my party

the weapon astarion was holding is a magic weapon with a unique attack, which deals a small amount of bonus damage for every 300 gold the enemy is holding. one of the other characters used the pickpocketing mechanic to slip 83k gold into raphael's inventory, then astarion used the special attack, which would have dealt somewhere over 1000 damage. additional damage would have also been dealt by astarion's "cull the weak" passive ability (which deals bonus damage equal to the amount of tadpoles youve eaten to enemies on low health) and presumably sneak attack damage from being a rogue in short: bro got Fucking Vaporized

The song kicking in with the "All mortal liiiives expiiiire" just after Raphael got nuked and exploded into a puddle of blood with a 20 meter radius, was really the cherry on top
