I would just take a pic of them for reference if needed, then peel them off. I wouldn’t want a sticker to be sucked into the fan. Could cause some damage down the road.

I didn’t, that screw just slows down the spin when you push the arm out of the way or used lock it completely in one position.

No, the laptop could of sucked up some debris through the exhaust vent that is stuck in the blades. Or it could be the fan blade broke from defect.

I would say it’s personal preference. I have cleaned my laptop both ways. I just had random internet people tell me I was doing it wrong so I just try to cover the proper way.

I try to do it yearly, but if I look at the fans and they seem dirty from the outside I will clean it. I have pets so dirt builds up quick.

No, the adapter comes with the microphone.

Yea mine just unplugged real easy. I would look to see if there are any push pin that have to be pressed and held down while pulling the fan cable out.

It’s really not as bad as you think. If you take your time, you should be already.

I used mine for about a year and half without no issues.

Pretty sure the yeti x is a side mounted so it wouldn’t work with a boom arm. I could be wrong though.

@@MrDarkcore Yeha with the washer that should screw into the mic connector and those 2 flat pieces that hug the rod on the other end or something like that

To be honest I was also worried at first, but after just poking around in the laptop a few times. It became pretty easy to do.

If you mean 93%, that will work fine. Higher the percent of alcohol the better.

I would only clean it if you notice a lot of dirt or debris on the fans or in the exhaust vents. They do sell fans that go under the laptop to keep it cooler if you’re worried about how hot it gets.

Yea, that would work fine. If you dust the fans though, I would find something to prevent the fans from spinning while spraying air on it. It could ruin the fan.

I would first try holding the power button down for 15 to 30 seconds. Make sure the laptop isn’t plugged into the wall as well. If this doesn’t work let me know.

I used a butter knife the first time by the exhaust vents. I wouldn’t recommend it 😂

Originally, while I was having the freeze up issues, I also could no longer play my Snowrunner game because the steering wheel would no longer respond. I spent several hours with a Logitech rep online and he finally said he would have to refer it to his higher support team. A few days later I received an email with a list of seven things to check. I did the first 4 of 7 and my game now works and I no longer have the freeze up issue. Because I didn't check the status after I did each one, I'm not sure which one made the difference or whether they all did. Here's what they recommended... 1). download and reinstall the redistributables for x64 and x86 of the computer (they provided a link). 2). update windows to ensure that all the latest windows updates are installed (said everything was already up to date). 3). download and install the latest .NET Framework for your windows installation. 4). update/install USB and chipset drivers (while I was in device manager/system devices I found a Logitech file that I should have deleted when I was working with the online tech but didn't, so I uninstalled it? It's been three months and no freeze up issues. Hopefully there is something you can take from this and share with others.

I was using the Corsair Darkcore for a while, I just like have more buttons on the side. I may buy a wireless version of the M65 eventually.
