The tilting doesn't seem to work on my chair :( I tried taking it apart but it is really tough to use alan keys to open it, they are screwed on very tightly.

A rare gem of a chair. I've had it for 15 years and use it for countless hours as a video editor. Allsteel also has amazing customer service. I've used the Herman Miller Aeron chair at offices over the years and while it had many cool features and I loved the mesh seat, that frame around the seat was just too uncomfortable on the legs. It was also very difficult to sit at the edge of the Aeron because of this (a super beneficial seating position that I spend a lot of time in). I can't for the life of me understand why the Allsteel #19 isn't on more top lists. A rare gem.
