I just did one today. First pull the pin on the clutch pedal. Then with a quality 9/16 wrench remove the line from the top of the clutch cylinder. Take a 13 mm short socket and remove the brace that is in front of the battery. Use a 2inch extension and a long swivel extension. Put the socket on the short extension and put it between the clutch cylinder and the brake booster on the bolt. Put the long extension in the short extension. It's a tight fit but it works. Remove the bolt. Then go to the next bolt. It will be easier. Make sure to put fluid in the new cylinder & bleed it. Install the new cylinder making sure the line bolts to the cylinder before tightening it up. After it is all back together. Put the linkage back on the pedal. Put the washer back on & with needle nose pliers put the pen back in the pedal. I used a leatherman. It worked fine. After I had it all hooked up I pumped the clutch pedal about five times and it is right at the top where it belongs. However. I've worked on cars for several years so it was actually pretty easy. The hardest part is getting under the dash after sliding the seat all the way back. I hope this information helps someone. This is my fourth corvette. However I have owned several hundred cars and trucks during my life. You all have a good time

So, I am an amateur glazer. I have installed a couple windshields on these c4 corvettes. And I will say that they can be infuriating to make watertight. In this case I was surprised, I did not think about these small passages that water could leak in. However just from the rubber that can be seen in this video we can tell that we all need to think outside the box. The door, targa, and rear hatch seals are hard enough to deal with. But this video has helped tremendously in diagnosing issues in these cars.

The cause of the hard start is oil leak down. Replace your low pressure oil pump and you will solve the problem. After that consider replacing the hpop. It's not difficult. You can do the low pressure oil pump for $100 or less in a couple hours if you're as skilled as I think you are.
@michaelatkinson387127 күн бұрын
Yes, this is a controversial topic. If you know that the low-pres pump feeds the high-pressure reservoir to the high-pressure pump to the injectors and then into the top of the heads. Doing this has no effect except to change some oil in the top.

You should install the bushings without the inner sleeve then once installed in the link and bar, put the sleeve in the bushings. No grinding on the bushings required.

What you did on the left spring nut is useless, and pointless. In the C4 the engine is offset to the right of the car, unless you're quite overweight the driver weight isn't going to upset the balance of the car that much that you'll ever be able to tell on the street. If GM thought it should be that way they'd have done it that way themselves, they spent a considerable amount of time and money on the C4 suspension.
