Hey man, don't know if you'll be reading this since this video is quite old, but just wanted to tell you how much I appreciated your lesson. I absolutely love your teaching style, the tabs on the top of the video also help a lot to visualize what youre doing. I love how calm your voice is, and you seem like an awesome guy. Please keep doing lessons like this, I will certainly subscribe and see what else you have in store for us. Cheers and much love from Austria!

Great cover, well done!! I miss this type of Ben Howard music. The new electronic music he is delivering, does not speak to me.

Thanks very much. I think Ben needs to write some more "guitar friendly" songs first. I can't really get into some of his new electric based stuff.

I mean, credits to the author of this track, seeing it broken down like this really highlights how skillful the track is. Great job on the tutorial, I want to see your cover of it now. Such a catchy rift though.

Dude… I’ve been looking at shakey graves covers from the start and this guitar picking is clean… I wouldn’t be able to differentiate the intro without the video telling me this is wasn’t shakey 😂 🤌🏻🎉 well done

This is why I love YT! Thank you so much for an amazing tutorial! Just started practicing around 85 BPM, I’m reaching above my abilities a bit by trying to learn this song, but I also find that helps my progression/keeps me stimulated. Any advice on how to progress to 120 BPM (which I believe the song is in)? I.e. I currently like to anchor my pinky, but will that limit my speed? Thanks again!

If you do not want to tune your guitar all the way down you can also use this "minimal" tuning: E - Ab - Db - Gb - H - H Of course, you can't play along with the recording then but it's still fun.

That’s very cool I love this song and the Solid air album. I’m a guitar teacher and I think it would have taken me years of listening, playing and going mad trying to break that down. Respect to you for such a comprehensive explanation. I would love it if you could play a slower rendition of the complete song so we can all see the parts and movements. I’ve just watched your “jelly roll” lesson too. That’s a masterpiece of guitar playing Thank you so much.

Probably the best version of the outro picking I've seen! I wonder, how do you differentiate between the slaps that are purely rhythmical and the ones where you hit additional top strings. I've got the hang of the second technique but the purely rhythmical slaps are still tricky for me. I can't seem to figure out how to get those without adding the melodic content of the strings to them, if you know what I mean.

Love seeing people meticulously break down something the OG played on accident. This was NOT this thought out when he created it. It was a feeling, almost sloppy even.
