Look into the Pearson scout pic mount for that old Winchester 1894. They can be had for post and pre64' rifles and I dont believe theres any drill and tapping.

Ill agree with this guy, and take it a step further. As a guy who lives and hunts in WYOMING I can tell you with complete certaintly 80% or more of the people writing about western hunting have never hunted here, or were paying an expensive guide. I do take some long shots. I once shot an antelope at 486 yards with 300 win mag. 10 minutes after sunrise. The following year, i shot a mule deer. Same mountain. Same ridge. 10 minutes after sunrise. 84 yards. Open sage brush. Bow hunting last year, i passed up a 44 yard shot on a white tail. The key, get where the deer go. Its easy in the open mountains, the one little place with trees and water is where they all go.

Valuable lessons being taught, love it, you are doing great, am learning a lot through your videos, very glad I found your videos , subscribed and continue to watch. The Ethics you describe were taught to me from age 6, (am now in my 50's) my dad was a a safety hunter instructor for 40 years, taught us a lot about hunting and ethics. Keep doing what you are doing, I enjoy watching and learning.

Seems like there’s a lot of “today’s democrats” leasing land and keeping “their deer” to themselves. With that being said…… I hope you and Diane had a great 4th and were able to spend it fishing on a quiet pond.

Excellent review. I have a Marlin in .35 and 30-30 but wanted a 45-70 and Marlin has priced themselves out of the running. I'll likely get the Rossi 95 in 45-70 but i will leave the But Pad on.👍

What I’m seeing here in western Massachusetts is there’s so many Jakes that the gobblers aren’t hammering like usual. Every time they get fired up here comes a pack or 3-4-5 jakes at a time. Next thing the gobbler is run off and lock jaw. I’ve called in 5 gobblers to their deaths in the last two weeks for friends and family. But in the last two weeks only a few days have birds been red hot.
@shawnupton75842 ай бұрын
An old timer told me years ago that the turkey hunting sucks until we get 2-3 days in a row of 70 degree weather to get them hot. This season seems to be proving that correct. Clearly that bird “identifies” as an owl.😂😜

Sometimes guys have gotten up at 3 and ground it out in one spot and blew it up... or struck out, and they're going around looking for birds because that's their only day to get out and they want to bring a bird home. No difference whatsoever than looking for a buck track from the vehicle. BUT, if there is even a CHANCE that another hunter is working the birds, leave them ALONE. The last thing you wanna do is screw up another guys hunt.

lol this 23 min video is 6.5 hours edited down. Theres hours of no calling at all. you want to hear overcalling, you should have heard the truck going up and down the road non stop calling with a box call
@centraliowaoutdoors2 ай бұрын
@huntersmoonproductions3452 it still amazes me that people don't realize that a 20 minute video is not the entirety of the hunt. It's a condensed version of 6-8 or more hours of footage.
@huntersmoonproductions34522 ай бұрын
exactly. this was 6 1/2 hours of footage cut to 23 min. the WMUR chronicle segment (prior video) was 3 hours of video cut to around 5-8 minutes
