As someone with the much-despised 4060 Ti 16 gb (and a laptop with a 4060 8gb), I enjoy matching my AW3423DW's 165hz refresh rate with a steady 165fps using Lossless Scaling's newest framegen technology. And the laptop matches its 120hz OLED using the same software, albeit with a little more resolution tweaking and scaling. Sure it is not perfect, but it is really good nonetheless.

What I love about your review and this card, the temperatures and power consumptions are not excessive at 1440p. Pricewise, I'll wait a bit before getting this card, maybe when the 5000 series comes out, prices will drop more for the 4000 series.

To be worth it with the prices it should be a 80-100% performance increase changing from a 80 card to newest 80 card. Still not sure if 3080 to 5080 will be worth it. Probobly wait to 6080

I have a msi geforce 4080 16GB super slim. I bought in June this year. I got all new internal hardware and case then. 1080p is fine for me. Cyber Punk 2077 in game benchmark at 1080p. I got an average 156fps. I can't slow any games down at all. I also have an amd ryzen 9 7950x3d 16 core cpu. 96GB corsair vengeance ddr5 rgb ram. Running 24GBx4 sticks at 3,400 quad channel mode. I have two corsair 2TB pci 4.0 nvme drives for data storage. And two corsair 2TB pci 5.0 nvme. That are directly wired to my cpu. My os windows 11 pro is on one 5.0 nvme. And all my games on another 5.0 nvme. Cyber Punk 2077 Phantom liberty loads levels In just 6 seconds and fully playable then. I have 40Mbps up/1Gbps down internet. I'm hard wired. With a robust network with great signal strength. My keyboard and mouse are rgb with infra red lasers that register at 0.125ms. I built my dream pc.

I bought a gaming PC in 2020, IbuyPower from Best Buy and despite the stupid name, this thing has been really awesome. I used to build my own back in the day but not sure how to do that with the new tech and didnt want to spend the time learning. Heck, for what I paid for this on sale I don't think I could beat the price in parts anyway. It is a i9 10900k with an 240 AIO, 2070 Super GPU, 16gb DDR4 and Gigabyte mobo with a WD 1tb SSD. Never had any issues with it whatsoever. Came with all name brand parts. Nothing proprietary. I since upgraded to an 850w PSU, 32gb DDR4, and a 4070 super and it is still very stable and runs everything I want. I agree the 4070 super is the sweet spot!

4070ti Super is what I have driving my AW3225QF. There are many newer games I still have to use DLSS, but it does it at a high frame rate. The 16GB of Vram also helps loads because it's not being filled to max most of the time, which I think increases speed and lowers thermals a bit

Deep Breath. My limited experience, Sapphire Nitro 6700xt, PowerColor Fighter 7800xt currently a 3080Ti FE. I am on team green, but when you start on the price / performance bandwagon... Let's start with Ray and Path tracing. Personal opinion, give me FPS over neat shadows and blowing my eyes out with HDR effects. I bought the 3080ti just to try RT. Might be the minority opinion, but in competitive first person shooters, RT gets a thumbs down. If you take RT off the table. AMD is REALLY attractive. Especially if your willing to go 2nd hand. All the cards I have purchased at least open box, and typically used. Price/ Rasterization Performance is my only objective. The Nitro 6700xt purchased at @ $240 was the CLEAR winner. The Fighter 7800xt @ $404... I had the 7800xt, sold it, and put in the Nitro. Was the 7800 faster? Sure, but only about 10-15% in the games I play. I'll take the 170watt draw vs 270 any day! Currently on the 3080Ti FE, not going to tell what I paid for it, but it was open box - refurb and WAY less than you can find one at the moment (including Fakebook and Craigslist) Basic Take Aways, at RETAIL the best of the bunch was the 7800xt ($499) For what I paid, the 6700xt was the 'best'. The 3080 is a BEAST. It runs epic settings at 180fps, but the LOWS are where it shines. I never see it drop below 130. It is buttery smooth vs BOTH AMD cards. I do question when 12GB of Vram will bite me. But, that's tomorrow's problem. Right now, I'm a Green Fan (even got my son an EVGA 3080 12g) Other quick look. There are some 6950xt's going for ~$500. I'd like to take one for a spin, anyone wanna loan one out? :)

Buy the 7800x3d right now before the price goes back up, the 9k series isn't going to be an upgrade thus making the 7800x3d more value, that demand will cause price increases just like the 256 bit 6800 gpu did.

Regarding issues on intel 13th & 14th gen are you recommending intel i7-12700 (non K) 12 cores, 20 threads (65w). I don't gamming just browsing internet, listening FLAC audio and do AutoCAD design for my work. I already have DDR5 6000Mhz CL36 ( non EXPO) and LGA1700 cooler lay around collecting dusk. My plan setup just is ITX B670i using old 12th gen CPU. The price for 12th gen CPU are getting cheaper in my country Malaysia. If intel 12th generation have a problems like 13&14gen should i move migrate to ryzen zen 4? If so do ryzen support non EXPO ram or shoudl I continue to intel rig? My pc setup just only need motherboard, cpu and keyboard to complete.Sorry for my broken english and unknowledgeable about pc world.

What is a no brainer for gamers is the rijzen 7 7800x3d, that's still the fastest gaming CPU on the planet, and has proven itself over time. It's on the AM5 platform so future proof, for an upgrade when the new ones are good, stable and the x3d cache is there. As for Intel they knew about the problems with the 13/14 gen, and kept on selling. Other problem is the crazy amount of wattage they consume. Those CPU problems, crashing, degrading and so on won't be fixed, if so they would have done it. Intel has shot itself in the foot, and consumers are dumped in the cold. Now Intel had to downsize 15.000 people are getting fired, and development is at his lowest, so future solutions or new CPU's, next gen are not to bee expected.......The way to go for a pc gamer will still be the rijzen 7 7800x3d.

I like what Linus said: “…I don’t know if I can really tell the difference between 220FPS and 225FPS…” At some point you guys are going to have to realize how ridiculous this all sounds. I appreciate you keying in on the value the 4070 Super presents because it really does have the minimum specs for what a GPU should bring regarding VRAM DLSS etc. but nitpicking about FPS and metrics the human eye can barely detect is getting monotonous. It’s not a critique of you or your review it’s the whole industry repeating the same jargon over and over again. I also want to ask if it’s possible for you to include a segment on these GPUs AI/ML capabilities. So far only one channel is mentioning it in terms of “back to school” and helping with homework. Considering NVIDIA owns the AI market I think it would be a cool departure from the ear bleeding “Ray Tracing” & “Rastorization” drill down.

I'm waiting on 15th Gen, it's looking to be a significant improvement over 12/13/14th Gen. Much better energy efficiency is probably the bigger selling point, as more than anything they were getting stomped by AMD in that department. Currently have a Alienware Area 51m laptop, with a 9700k desktop CPU and RTX 2080. Still getting me by just fine. So no rush. I'm going back to a desktop setup with my next build. Getting out of OTR trucking after 10 years of it, and into more local CDL work. So I'll be able to refurbish my laptop and use it for other things, maybe for stream encoding or something. I've kinda been looking into streaming as a side hobby/gig. At least with my next build since it's been 5 years and much has changed. I'll see a significant uplift in performance, loading times, ect.. My laptop only supported DDR4 and PCIE 3.0, so moving over to DDR5 maybe CAMM2, and a PCIE 5.0 SSD will be awesome. It's one reason I like to wait awhile, like 4-5 years between upgrades. Because when you finally do upgrade, the difference is much more noticeable. Like going from a 17" 1080p screen on my laptop, to a 65" 4k OLED or Miniled TV.😅

The average noob doesn't realize that the big companies AMD, Intel, and Nvidia don't design products specifically for gamers/consumers. They design products for datacenters, servers, and the big corporate/institutional customers that are worth in the millions or billions dollars for a single unit. The gamer/consumer market is simply a marketing exercise to convince the average person to buy all the leftovers, scraps, and defects that are a byproduct of the expensive products. I'm glad that AMD is refocusing on power efficiency for Ryzen 9000. There's too much heat. As you can see, the really motivation is energy savings for their corporate customers and it filters down to the consumer market.

Now is a great time to buy older CPUs so i disagree. As for these new CPUs coming out and being ass, companies have been greeding out and making a bunch of budget cuts before they start doing layoffs(unnecessary mind you, CEOs are giving themselves raises). Their cheaping out hard on quality control and it was pretty evident to me early on it wasnt just gonna be an Intel thing. 12th gen Intel is still goated pretty goated, never liked zen 4 but the 7950X is a good productivity CPU for the price you can get right now and you cant beat the 7800X3D for gaming. Likewise if youre on AM4 you REALLY cant beat just upgrading yo a 5700X3D. In all honest, even something like a 10850K is good enough right now for any GPU at their optimal resolution right now. Like 4090 at 4K isnt gonna be better on a 7800X3D than it would be on a 5700X3D. My 12700K does great at 1440p with my 4070 Ti. Any CPU is gonna game like shit paired with a 4060, you see what im getting at here? All the CPUs in the last 4 years are good enough for current GPUs and i dont think you’ll need anything better unless the 5090 is so fast it pushes 4K numbers up to about how fast a 4080 is at 1440p
