only Horowitz was able to make the piano sing as Pogorelich does

I love how after the orchestral intro he decided it wasn't fast enough and singlehandedly raised the tempo for the whole orchestra AND the conductor... poor conductor 😂😂 And not to mention the constant rubato xDDD

When Pogorelich is playing a musical composition, he is under the influence of his Buddhic plane mind, a very exalted spiritual plane wherein the buddhic identity known to us as IvoP is manifestinf true emotionsl and spiritual realities as appearing in the musical composition he is performing.

Brilliant performance - full of color and imagination; virtuosic yet poetic to the extreme. I just watched another famous pianist perform this piece live and though it was interesting it wasn't nearly as involving, nearly as moving as this one. Thanks for sharing this with us all.

Every performer and performance has its fans. But for comparisson I would recommend to listen to the brothers Arthur en Lucas Jussen. They're control and articulation of the pièce is awesome. The pièce fits them as a glove. They enjoy themselves visibly and that resonates in the music. If you want to be taken for a ride, listen to their performance

More videos like this please :-) very interesting, but shorts on KZfaq have no clock so for those interested, it seems he makes different drinks on each group: Group 1 - 7s pre infusion , 21s long shot in one cup, leaves the other. Group 2- 15s pre infusion, 15s long shot. Group 3 - 27s pre infusion, 16s long shot in one cup, leaves the other cup

Fabio was/is friends with my former piano teacher, Ria Cascione, and I had masterclasses with a young Bidini in 1992/3 in Pretoria, South Africa. My dad crafted a small grand piano out of wood as a 'thank you' gift for him 😊 What a beautiful connection he has with music. I'm so glad I rediscovered him. Cannot actually believe he is not better known.

Oops! Actually I was the 2nd person to offer a comment. Referring to Copland's Violin Sonata- I meant the VIiolinist Issac Stern.
@frankpiccione85718 ай бұрын
Why am I the first to reply? Anyway, i just love the rhythmic complexity of the piece. It works even better than its source material- Copland's. short symphony. Great interplay among the group. The pianist is just superb. Copland's chamber music is under appreciated. Check out his Violin Sonats with Stein on violin and the composer on piano. It is a hauntingly beautiful and lyrical work. Also Copland's Flute duo with piano with Jasmine Choi on the flute. She is an outstanding flutist.

I'm looking for variations on the Prelude in E flat minor Op. 28 No. 14 of chopin. I remember coming across a video on youtube a long time ago, they produced about 3 or 4 variations, 1 with octaves and cords bouncing around off of each other. It was amazing I thought at the time.
