The jury is still out on that. Historically, terrains are trash cars but I like the design of this, 4 cylinder, dual overhead cam common rail turbo, it looks very European, and those guys know diesel. It's in the shop for a Def system issue.

In all honesty, real engineers are so scarce I doubt they are consulted at the least. Things we see all around us, it's serious corruption. It's all about the money...

Fun fact, the sway bar is in that position because the suspesnsion is in full droop. Get a lift that has plattforms (The main type of lift used in car factories ) for wheels and it will be out of the way

I bet the prototype design didn't even leave enough room for the wrench to get the bolt off and the maintenance procedure was to take off the sway bar.

The powerplant engineers and chassis engineers were probably in completely different office buildings during the design phase and finance didn't approve a redesign of the oil pan when the first mules were assembled.

Have you changed the oil on a 80-90 year ford thunderchicken with a V8 you have a be a octopus to get the oil filter off, by the time you get it out, your arm is covered to the elbow, and you’ll need 3-4 cans of brake parts clearer to clean up the oil off 1/3rd of the motor, and suspension.

Rediculous video. I would learn how to use a piece of kit before reviewing it. I've used launch for years and snap on. Launch does auto read the vihicle if you set the tool up accordingly! The scan speed on my launch leaves the snap on behind, it has scanned all the modules and prepared a full email report in the time I've spent still pressing tabs on my snap on💁🏼‍♂️. The fact that the launch are essentially European biased as are snap on American biased also doesn't help. Your launch is what, 6x cheaper than the snappy? How much cheaper is the launch software? Mines free updates for life by the way. Next crucial thing which stopped me buying another snap on was the fact that in the 3 and half years I owned my launch, snap on brought out 2 newer models and stopped supporting the 3 year old machine! So the truth is, my 2.5k snap on cost 2k in updates then became obsolete after 3 years which then required spending a further 2.8k on a new machine! Launch was £850 3. 5 years ago, free updates still being recieved=£850 for 3.5 years💁🏼‍♂️. Essentially it payed itself off in the first 6 months. My topdon phoenix smart at 1.6k actually out performs our snap on zues by quite a long way. Sorry to go on dude but your quite comparison in the real world isn't great. By the way, snap on are moving onto windows based software so viruses may become an issue? Give the launch a chance, you might realise that paying 6x more for a 30 second difference in boot up time really is not a good idea. Happy scanning👍🏻🇬🇧

@@RogueWrenching Thanks for the reply. And yeah. An engine is designed and a platform is designed. And in all cases the engine fits well, but there might be an issue like this, which isn't more than just a tad annoying. But it does give you a reason to clean it with a rag and have it last longer without being a rusty rod :) Always look for the positives in life :)

I don't see a problem. You have space to remove the plug and fit it back in. That's just a minor inconvenience that would otherwise cost a fortune and become annoying in other ways, possibly when ordering spare parts, if either the sump or the sway bar are different from other models.
