I have NO idea why there are so many stupid comments on this. THIS is a BMW, a very complex piece of equipment. the top is a 3 piece HARD top, hats off to BMW for even having this procedure. as a mechanic for 40 years even I would have a problem doing this on my own or at all. great to see how BMW solved this, for the ordinary person on the street who cant or doesnt want to read the manual you need 2 people to do this, otherwise take it to a shop via a tow truck. Great video, God sometimes people amaze me with there ignorance

Hello mate this video is important but some guys put in the jokes either because they’re either ignorant until this system fails on you. Getting someone to help is never a big deal.It’s not rocket science

@@2blackice on my old 944s2 cab, you could do it on your own, very easy, put a screwriver into the rear passenger door cover, undo a screww to release the gear from the motor, then lift up the top and latch it, but that was a single piece, the BMW is 3 piece metal. great video either way keep them coming

Not Really all you need is your girlfriend or brother or sister or wife in the car but in most cases this happens depending on the environment where the car is the the user behavior but these are problems for above 80K so don’t worry Macdaddy.

I think that is way too complicated. Note: it was better to demonstrate this by single person procedure to see how that would've been (since it is an emergency scenario and most users/drivers might not have a helper).

dude this is a BMW, the top is ONE VERY COMPLICATED piece of equipment, it's not going to be easy or quick to do this, THIS IS A 3 piece mechanical HARD TOP, are you serious, hats off to BMW for even having a procedure like this, if you have a problem call, CAA/AA/AAA and have your BMW towed to a garage. this is NOT and cannot be a 1 person job that top is FAR too heavy,

It is it’s still in production but the model hasn’t received much attention affecting the pricing especially used.

This is the 6GT (the pre-LCI version), different than 3GT which is not produced anymore. The 6GT LCI is still in production.
