No kidding Flowmaster is way louder and more aggressive. I’m going to put long tubes and cut out the cat and I’m hoping that’ll make it louder but I might just end up putting a flowmaster system on it.

Put a stainless flow master super 10 or sound fx. Could do a super 44 also but the super 44 I don’t think sounds as good as the other 2 I want to try the sound fx. Have the super 10 stainless steel outlaw series now and it sounds good but I’m about to do headers and a high flow cat into an x pipe into a duel inlet super 10 with 3in outlet

Great video! Have been looking at adding one of these. But I’m sorry no one is buying a 3/4 ton or even a 1 ton gasser for the gas mileage. Buy a diesel if you’re looking for better MPGs

Looks and sounds exactly like the thorton chip. I have two thortons for two V8 cars. I noticed a real seat of the pants difference in power... it does not get 60 hp LOl but.... it does feel like 25hp+ It took a few tenths off my 0-60 which is like 25 hp... takes near 100hp to drop it a second. Also the intake is louder which takes a few hp to notice. The way I drive I doubt that I will have any idea what it did to gas mileage. which ranges from 10-20 depending on how and where I am driving.

I got this for my 2012 4.7 flex fuel. There isn’t really any difference. The only cool thing is. I can change my thermostat to a lower temperature one. I can set my tire sizes. The gears I’m running.. yes it shifts faster and smoother on 93 performance. Other than that there’s nothing big

Man I can’t find long tubes for a 4.7, I don’t know if they even make them for the 4.7. But I bought a hemi now and I can definitely get long tubes for it. I’ll be making videos on it soon.

I wish we had 12.50s on ours it would look so good. There are weeks worth of trails out there, so much to explore. It is pretty safe off roading but you’ll get some scratches on your fender flares with all the prickly bushes.

You do realize that most 35” tires or only 1/2 inch to 3/4” larger than the 33’s, right? And they will add 200 to 300 pounds of weight to the truck. The trade off is really not worth it unless you’re going to do some major suspension upgrades. The 33’s are on there to give you max articulation.

Yeah most of the trails we could manage in 2wd but some spots were really lose so finally had an opportunity to put it in 4wd and engage the lockers, even got to use the disconnecting sway bar. I appreciate this truck a lot more after this trip, power wagons are a solid truck.

My 23 power wagon seems to have plenty of power in its stock configuration I really don’t have alot of faith in all these aftermarket gadgetry… it cost a bundle and rarely satisfies expectations from the advertised hype. The only thing I would really like is just to be able to lose the MDS the trucks honestly have plenty of power in stock configuration jmo honestly it’s a 4 ton off road HD truck not a scat pack challenger

I’m not sure what the Magnaflow number is, but the Flowmaster is a 40 series. I got a custom pipe kit and customized mine but you can get a cat back system or even just a muffler. Depends on how much you want to spend.

Something is not adding up. My 2015 Ram 1500 4x4 Quad Cab Hemi 3.92 with 295/70R18 was getting 15-16 MPG. It got 19 MPG when I put 91 octane fuel but that’s hard to fine.

Honestly bro the 4.7l is not meant for these big beefy wheel/tire combos. I think keeping the stock set up with maybe a lil chunkier tire is best because you are keeping the rotational weight down which is what really matters. Adding 100-200+lbs of rotational weight is like driving around with 600-1000 lbs extra in the truck. I’ll be weighing my stock 17x8 wheels soon and try to get something a little lighter in the future to help give it more pep lmao

The 545rfe is one of the best auto transmissions ever made for a half ton truck. You should do research before you state blatently false statements. Also that engine has a single cam, not dohc. Also superchips are garbage. Beautiful 3rd gen though. Check out my 3rd gens

Well apparently you should do some research too because it’s a double cam, that I can assure you. And superchips isn’t garbage it’s just not really going to make a huge difference on a 4.7. Don’t forget it also disables mds…. Big plus. And please understand your driving a 6.4 hemi, if you want “gas mileage” get you a diesel. Love my 6.4, but I don’t expect it to give me 19 mpg.

So the dual set up is a true dual all the way from the headers down. I think I’m going to go back to a y pipe and a single in dual out muffler because I’m missing my torque.

The paint is holding up well so far. Other than the fact that they’re always covered in dust so you can’t really see them that well 😅. But no cracks or anything in the paint so far.

33x12.50. If you are running 35s or bigger id definitely go with 4.56. Personally I’d go with 4.56 even if you are running a smaller tire because I really like mine and haven’t had any issues with them. And you can never have enough low end torque.😅

Im running same tuner with trinity head unit. My 6.4 gets 18.5 mpg on cruise set 72 ish stock mds off everyday on highway but in town with cold air and magnaflow exhaust like 12 /13 mpg . Definately worth it if you do alot of hiway driving paid for itself in fuel savings already , not to mention tuned you wont belive its the same truck tow mode is unbelieveable difference from stock shes a beast

@@kbtrucks i have a trinity 3 head unit all my controls for tune settings are thru the cruise control buttons more integrated with the truck so the head unit is just a monitor maybe thats why mine doesnt freeze up my settings appear in my dash cluster as you select them in my 22 ram 2500

i did all the mods and tuner at the same time, i use k&n on everything i own and always upgrade the exhaust , they do make a difference in smoothness and sound but the power is definately from the tuner, its nite and day difference, can tell pulling steady rpms and changing tunes the difference immediately while cycling thru

I bought an ‘04 Ram 1500 4.7 about a week ago and its in pretty good shape. No significant rust, starts right up no hesitation, and I just had some maintenance done like brake pads/rotors, oil, coolant, spark plugs, coils, brake fluid, and air filter. This is my first truck but I plan on keeping it for a while. I figure if the motor goes out on me in a year or two I can swap in the 5.7 hemi 🤔🤔. This tuner does have me curious but it is way overpriced rn smh

Yeah man everything is crazy over priced. The tuner won’t change much on the 4.7 stock. After I got a lot of other performance modifications did I notice a difference once it was tuned. But yeah the hemi swap is what will guarantee some improvement.

Just fyi. A tuner that promises more power will never give you better mpg. They're literally addimg fuel to the motor. Now the eco side of the tuner may cut back power. If you live in the mountains and hills, you probably will get worse than stock because its always down shifting. Keeping the tune on and opening up the air ways can give you better mpg IF you can keep your foot off the gas. More power somtime is better because you're running atca lower rpm. Fine line.

Theory’s arent facts, real world results are facts,and the tuner adds 3.5 mpg just because she dont gotta work hard at all, and thats in tow tune where the transmission keeps it in optimum power range for the task at hand hills while towing heavy ofcorse shes gonna eat fuel its a 6.4, but shes not gonna downshift 4 gears to make the power she pulls like a truck should down a gear and disappear eats hills for fun!

Yeah I like the tuner, after I true dualed the truck I really noticed a difference on the 91 performance tune. Before true dualing I liked tow the best.
