Thanks. What about the price? I have used VanTop (which lasted about 3 years) and now I am using Wolfbox (they cost $130 to $150). I have noticed that these Mirror Dashcams all have similar hardware, and the difference between these China brands is in the software.

It's possible. Many of these lower budget dash cams don't have modern sensors built in and keep re-using older and cheaper models

Good morning, I have dash cams on my windshield for only 2 - 4 weeks, because after that I am testing a different one. So if night vision is important to you than you need a dashcam like this one: amzn.to/4awfljx with a Starvis 2 sensor. Hi there, I noticed that the phone's internet isn't working anymore whilst connected to the dashcam. Despite having mobile data ON. If I disconnect WIFI from my phone then internet is back. That can't be normal, I need to use the GPS whilst driving. Thanks in advance

Unfortunately that's the case. So you would only connect your phone to the dash cam network IF you need to change settings or access the footage. Other than that you don't leave your phone connected.

You are correct, dual channel is 4K front and 1080p rear

I think the rear view needs a mirror image button to be tapped. The front image shows a passing vehicle on left side but in the rear cam it’s approaching on the right. Or when you pass a vehicle it shows opposite side rear vs front. I was watching some other videos that were showing how to flip the rear image.. idk if it’s possible for every camera setup 🤔 Besides that this is a great video and I appreciate the effort, time and editing required to create this! Thanks for sharing 👌💯💯👏👏👏

I was also pleasantly surprised with the quality. The rear camera is a relatively cheap 1080p camera. You can't expect too much at night

An 8 GB card would get you about 1 hour 25 min recording time. It is really not sufficient. I would recommend to buy at least a 64Gb card for $13 amzn.to/3S5oh8E or better a 128 GB for $19 card: amzn.to/3zEr3LL

I would buy at least a 128 GB card, like this one: amzn.to/3zEr3LL 3 min (front and rear) are already 640 MB, in other words a 64GB card would give you only 100 minutes recording time before the footage gets overwritten

Very well done. I am in the process of evaluating the new Arpha D25. I have a question for you. Do you use an IOS or Android phone? Also, do you have to turn off your cellular network to get connected to the D24 via Wifi? I also ordered a hardwire kit to test both the 12 volt plug and then the hardwire so it can enter parking mode. Arpha doesn't sell the wire kit - but they put me in touch with a company that does (USBc on one side and hardwire to the fuse panel on the other with a battery voltage protector to avoid battery drain). I hope to get my video loaded by next week - as I'm still testing the user interface and trying to come up with best practices. You did a lot in 7 minutes.

Sorry for the late reply, I was traveling. I used my iPhone. But you don't need to disconnect your cellular network, only disconnect the home wifi to be able to connect it to the dash cam network.

Hi, great video, thanks. I just bought this cam, and it has the speed units error in the recorded video that you noticed. Whether you set it to mph or km/h, it is wrong! I cannot find any firmware for this camera on the Azdome website, only the similar but different "GS63H" and "GS63 Pro" models. Do you know if there is a fix for the speed units error? If not I will return it, since the main point of having GPS in a dashcam is to have correct speed (and time) recorded in the video.

I notified Azdome and I have not received a response yet. Yes, it is a problem and in fact it can get you in trouble when you want to use your footage as evidence in court: everyone would think that you were speeding

But too late, I already sent the camera back to Amazon! Anyway "it may could help you" doesn't sound very confident :-) No explanation for why the firmware update isn't on their website.

I just checked. Unfortunately this option is not available, not even on the AZDOME M580, that I am currently reviewing, One way to ensure events are captured and stored is to reduce the sensitivity from the G-sensor

I like their products but customer service sucks. I’ve tried countless times to contact them about my issues. The unit will not allow me to connect with my phone. Password was never changed and doing a hard reset did not resolve my problem. So now I have a useless camera. And not a single reply from them.

I am happy to help you. Step one: click on the wifi symbol - can you turn on the wifi in your dash cam? If yes, do you see the azdome network in you phone wifi settings?

@@dashcaminfo so the camera works, but I can’t log onto my camera with my phone. I’m using the same default password and it says invalid. I did a hard reset on the camera to hopefully return all settings to default, but nope. Password 1234 does not give me access to the videos. I’ve never changed the password and a couple of weeks prior to this problem, it worked fine. Now I have a dash camera that should be recording but I can never access the videos with my phone.

Before we have to set things in perspective: I would give a 10 out of 10 to amzn.to/3GjNGoX Viofo A139 Pro, but this costs $350 The Redtiger F7NP gets 8 points amzn.to/3OlpjLf given the price of $149 a no-brainer The Arpha D24 gets a solid 5 amzn.to/3Vh9Kt5 it is a decent performer. but for $169 I simply expect a bit better quality

The mirror has a good quality. In fact I prefered driving with the display off, using it for what it is, a mirror. Another mirror dash cam I reviewed was the Pelsee P10 kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jdRkadClnty5Zac.html this mirror is also very good and usable. I am currently working on another review, but after that I already ordered the Arpha E22 Mirror Dash Cam, I should have that ready in a few weeks.
