This tutorial is SUPER old, watch for new content from Kite Forge over the next couple of months - new company, new kites, evolved by the same instructor.

Thank you. I may finally figure out how to out my older single whisker back together. Then i will have to figure out what the bridle is supposed to properly look like. Well the front spreader is missing. It looks like it's not too tight so i am wondering if i thought it was to a different kite. Hopefully i can find it. If not i need to figure out what size it should be.

Unbelievable that the 'instructions' are not clear as to how to put the kite together. Thanks for posting!

I have not a year under my belt flying. I had to buy every possible set up possible. I stuck with the 90lb line for all the set ups. I had to feel what it was like to try them all. So I got 13,14 and 15 in handles and 30,50, 85 and 120 ft lines. I try to find which combo works for that day.

A kite that size rated for only 3- 5 MPH 😮 You have really good control of the harness . Are you using kevlar lines?
@Kitelife
@Kitelife 9 ай бұрын
The Kymera (no longer made) was rated for around 4-13 mph. Spectra lines. Same pilot, new gear, 13 years later: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jLp2drtilq7PdYk.htmlsi=mzs6IHpnA2lu0K_w kzfaq.info/get/bejne/iM6fZ9dzqb7Qm2Q.htmlsi=9yPvf7qBjOlJiy7C

What's a good way to wrap the line without it twisting? It takes me a long time to get the kite in the air because I am trying to untwist the lines.

Same principle as outlined in this video, without attaching the pairs together... Just put the loops on the winder and go, as shown here: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/edunZtlzqZuUmKc.html

I was a frustrated physical therapy student in the late 80s -- it got me through a clinical at the old Lake Erie Institute for Rehab. Was such fun learning from him on the (then) revolutionary Revs in the evenings on the beach.

Those are really short lines! I'm in SW Missouri and I'm lucky as we always have winds out of the South which makes for great flying of both my Revolution and my sport kites! But on my Revolution I prefer 100' or longer lines.
