This is great! I met Louis Bellson in 1985 at a concert in Denver. On the set break I introduced myself to him as a drummer in high school and the first thing he says is, "I just picked up this new Ping Ride for my ride cymbal. How does it sound out there?" I was stunned that this drumming god was asking my opinion about one of his cymbals! He was an amazing gentleman who taught us much just by the way he carried himself.

Réalisation superbe ! Il est monté de1 ou 2 octaves en mélodie , et reste magnifiquement esthétique , et symphonique...Bravo ...quel boulot ?

Not to be negative, but...as good as he is, if you've seen one Bellson solo, you've seen them all.

The loveliest thing about this is that he plays so gently under the band so that the dynamics don't get lost. And still swings like a true cat. Those kids must have felt pretty lucky that day.

What brand kit is that? It's actually a very modern design for the 50's. Shallow toms. I can't see the tom mounts, but it doesn't look like they are consolette type.

I love the shallow toms. My hyper drive kit is based on the shallow tom sound and punctuation.

The camera mic and its compressor do not do the sound of the drum justice, also I didn't really spend any time tuning it, just slapped two heads on and whacked it.

Every heavy-metal drummer in the world should appreciate this guy, because without him, we would’ve never known about it….. and the amazing fact is this was done long before chain driven pedals…. I started drumming and 1977. I was seven my first pedal was a leather strap pedal. In 87 I went to DW chain driven.. just a little nostalgia, for anybody can understand that era… or underestimates the advantages of today’s gear…

I stand behind Humes and Berg drum bags, as I use the Galaxy series on my toms. I use the Humes and Berg Seeker bag on my snare drums and Bass drums. I am 5’11” tall and don’t have any issues with the handle strap length, so, may I suggest that you consider taking your bag to a leather/shoe repair shop. Have them shorten up your straps and problem solved, no more dragging your bags on the ground.

I'm 6'1" but I have long arms. The long handles aren't a deal breaker but they do give the Ahead bags an edge for me as far as preference. Lately I've been buying Barton bags almost exclusively as they are very decent bags at a reasonable price. Not quite at the level of the faux lambswool lined bags but, IMO, better than the Galaxy bags and at a lower price.

Thank you so much! Last week I put my Peugeot 308 key in my friends 2006 Boxster and spent a week in total agitation as everyone put the fear of God into me because the car is a Porsche. I finally plucked up the courage to put my one and only Peugeot key back in and it worked. I am so eternally grateful. I can’t thank you enough for posting this video. Sandi from the UK
