As for doing a solo run, I already did that. There is a playlist for it, although without voice commenting. But as you can see in this video, it eventually becomes a matter of lacking DPS, forcing you to do some heavy logistics with sentry guns. That being said, it puzzles me why I never see anyone using stress as a way to boost your DPS or Retaliation. I guess the game is just too easy on default settings.

I’ve just recently got this game and I think it’s great and underrated imo,I bought it originally on PlayStation then on steam to try some mods. I also wish the devs didn’t abandon it so soon.

Always think Maeko, Stern and Rodriges needs some better guns in this part... And the spare Marines... Maiko should have a plasma riffle, a submachine gun and a RPG... Rodriges should have a smart gun, a submachine gun and a 'faster' shotgun... Stern needs a assault gun with grenade launcher, a submachine gun and a flame thrower... Weyland-Utani mercenary guns are underpowered... At least four mercenary guns is needed to kill a single Zeno...

Just enough doctors excluding the new one. Lucky... 8 times the average bullet count. That's a Fire Wall... Any reason not to bring the three spare level 14 gunners out for a promotion tour...? It might pan out...?

Well, there were many possibilities. I think we had 13 days left or something, but I felt like the team was good enough. I am more satisfied with my gunners in the Trio Run that I am currently playing. Having 70 accuracy is quite a lot of extra damage for a gunner.

The RPG wakeup call is just a noisier way of using a sniper riffle... Shouldn't a comatose marine in the ARC remove one set of tools, medkits, ammo and a sentry gun? The training room stopping at level 4 is a fault... The dog tag reaper program in Dead Hills is to cold... Game mechanics... Just another glitz in the program...

I think most of it could be solved by uncapping the planetary infestation level. Of course, then the challenge runs would be like complete the campaign on infestation level 20 or something. At least skipping days would have some kind of penalty.

Yeah, it feels like there is some kind of tipping point. Where the aliens come at you at higher rate than you can kill off. At least it seems that way with only 4 marines.

Four submachineguns is quite OP in single combat... It helps with the ammo consumption too... 🤔 All those confused drones in that onslaught was hilarious... Quite the traffic jam in that corner... 🤣🤣😂

No, this is vanilla. As far as I know there exist no mods that can make the game more challenging.

Fascinating. The entire time I played I was constantly staying on top of the stress. Very interesting to see someone take an entirely different approach to find a way to boost DPS with the stress mechanic!

Why are you only selecting pyromaniacs among the marines? Aha. It's to get retribution points automatically while using the flamethrower. BTW why no more intense training on C class marines? All those days spent looking for pyromaniac gunners...

Training center only gets marines to level 4. Besides, B and C class marines will be resolved after mission 4 is done.

This is pretty impressive. I've loved this game since the second it launched (and even more so when they fixed the worst of the bugs) and doing a solo campaign is something I thought would be a ton of fun. But seeing you actually do it and really manipulate the games mechanics to make it work is more than I ever had occur to me. I tried this on the easiest of difficulties and gave up when I realized I can only deploy with a single magazine with only 1 marine, I thought it was totally bogus. I know you're done this series now (I saw your message on the Focus discord) But I would have loved a rolling commentary from you as you were playing to really understand your reasoning for doing all the things. As it is I'm finding it really hard to follow what you're doing with all the full pauses and frequent mouse clicks. I really wish this game wasn't already forced to be abandoned by Tindalos because of all the licensing crap. I really want some fully fleshed out mod tools for custom missions.

Why do you spray the flamethrower on the ground? What is the point of that?

The marine has a trauma, Pyrophobia, that increases his stress by 45 points every time he uses the flamethrower. For each stress level (100%/200%/300%) his rate of fire increases by 33%. So at stress level 3 (300%) he has 100% increased rate of fire. This comes from his class attribute, Unleash Hell, as a gunner class at level 10. There exists 6 different stress debuffs, but only 3 of them reduces accuracy. If you want more details, see my link at the top of my channel to my guides on Steam.

He is a Gunner. His level 10 class attribute, Unleash Hell, increases his rate of fire by 33% per stress level. Max stress level 3 is then 100% increased rate of fire. His raw dps is doubled and the chance of dismemberment or crits also increases due to more shots.
