"DON'T DO THIS AT HOME"! You can say that again! This post came up on my KZfaq feed & was an abject lesson in not what to do. You didn't seem to have the first clue initially as to the correct positioning of the remote controller's antenae, which is a dead giveaway that you're a novice. Admitting that you "don't read manuals" is another. When you learnt to drive a car did you get in the driving seat & attempt to drive it without first receiving instruction from some qualified professional who's had the experience of driving, probably for many years, and in the passenger seat to prevent you killing yourself? I've flown a DJI Air 2S, well out of line of sight parallel to the beach of a large island off West Papua where I was staying, to a much smaller island only a few hundred metres offshore but several kilometres away from my home point but I had several strategies to take into account emergencies. (1)Fly against the prevailing wind on the way out, so that the wind will assist the drone on the return flight (2) Should there be a change of wind direction with insufficient battery level remaining for above, locate an emergency landing spot nearby so one might safely retrieve said drone. (3) Don't drain the battery down past 50% so that it can't return home if conditions worsen. That you gambled your expensive drone & claim to have retrieved it successfully is down more to sheer luck not your ignorance of safe drone flying practices. As for 15 kilometres of signal range? Sure, but your battery will have given up the ghost long before your craft staggered home. I hope you've learnt your lesson & don't continue ignoring manuals nor dozens of responsible KZfaqrs who've posted long range drone tests but have warned many times in advance not do replicate what you did.

It certainly was a lesson learnt. I have been flying DJI drones Since the DJI Spark came out, and slowly moved up, and Yes I have lost / Broken 4 drones over the years, but I didn't think of the wind factor, I was will admit I got caught up in the excitement while attempting this test, as you can see in my previous video I didn't have the attenana's out properly, and I learnt from other youtubers. We are all here to learn, to make mistakes but also, we are here for entertainment. If someone else can learn from my stupidity, thats better than them losing their own drone.

Although the convenience of the transmitters would be nice, I found the vocals get compressed quicker at lower volumes. Artifacts are present as well. At first glance, I thought the transmitters were awesome, but when using with my guitar and singing over the last week, I switched back to cables and will be returning the transmitters.

The key is always to stay polite with any law enforcement officers. They could be sometimes cocky, but they are actually nice if you stay polite and take them seriously. I was asked a couple of times to bring down my drone so we could discuss the situation with police officers in Canada and it turned out I was legal and OK to fly where I was. Now, if I had been impolite, it would’ve probably turned against me, but I stayed polite and cooperative.

Ive actually only had good encounters with the police, Im always polite , and comply and never talk back, they understand tourists dont't exactly know all the laws, as every country is different. I got off with a warning, and my details taken down, it was even on my visa that I broke air space regulations, but they chose not to fine me.

That's interesting! My experience with MC-11 was exactly the opposite. It sounded terrible and loud. I couldn't even focus the lens on the video. I had to return it and later I noticed that people have the same issues as me. It should cost like 40€, not 250€ (Spain price). Anyway, I am still looking for the "perfect" one... 🥹

@nigelhaines404
@nigelhaines404 8 сағат бұрын
Billy Kyle's post was a responsible one of how to do a longe range test. Over flat desert, not Queensland, Australian jungle, with spotters along the flight route, situated to monitor the drone's progress & its safe retrieval. This one was a real, novice, amateur job. Seemed proud of his ignorance of the RC's optimum antenae positioning & ignoring flight manuals. A potential recipe for disaster.

Two things: flying as a tourist and flying for money (commercially) fall under two different classifications. One of which requires licensing and registration. Also rule #1 of flying drones, regardless of weight classification, is not to fly over crowds of people. In most cases you’re allowed to fly over “uninvolved” persons, but crowds of people are strictly off limits without approval from EASA. In some places flying over crowds of people is a serious offense. I am glad you were let off with a warning but let this be a wake up call.

@@Sonymoviemasters No there isnt, the FACT is the film industry uses the 4 - 5.65 size as a standard, while stills filters are 100-150mm, a few mm longer. i dont understand why there should be 2 standards so close together. Ive found a local glass cutter who will either cut or grind my "Stills" filters down to fit, bearing in mind the filters are the same ND / Polarising / graduated, to buy all new Again would cost in the many hundreds of £. he is charging £5 per filter to cut off that few mm, so they will still fit in my Nisi /Lee filter holders anyway. That few mm makes no difference, as its outside the filed of view anyway. Surely a filter holder could be made to hold both sizes , with a lot of stills photographers now also using their new mirrrorless cameras as video cameras. a small plate with a rubberised end to clamp the filter and a screw thread to adjust it to the different size is such a simple solution

Sorry, seems like you still did not see what I meant. You can’t properly assess a speaker’s sound quality if you are behind the speaker you are assessing. You have to face the speaker at a certain distance to truly hear its full spectrum and have proper exposure to its sound.
