Guenther is being extraordinarily naive if he actually believes engineers ask the FIA for clarification before trying something new. Mercedes' dual-axis steering just appeared on the car. It exploited a gap in the rules, and they received no penalty for it. The FIA 'clarified' DAS out of existence later. "Well, there's nothing to say I can't" is the mantra of all the best engineers and designers.

Guenther is absolutely wrong about accepting denial of entry to clubs. That is the dangerous basis of every kind of discrimination. Andretti should force their way into F1 by any means necessary and break the Liberty monopoly and discriminatory practices.

Your budget cap idea is one of the most callous, evil things I've ever heard. Those budgets pay for people's salaries. You are advocating for mass layoffs every season for the top performers in the sport.

CHanging the budget cap would be ridiculous. A big part is salary's. So a teamwould have to fire ??% of their staff for winning. Stupid idea.

I've been thinking one possible solution would be a reverse correlation between budget and testing privileges. We already have a bit of this in terms of season standings, but I'd like to see it related to budget too. Raise the budget cap so top teams can spend more, but if they do so they get less wind tunnel/CFD time. Poor teams who don't have the money, give them more and also on-track testing. No changes to regs, everyone still has the same rules and restrictions, but give teams the options to trade money for testing time. Might be a good middle ground between not neutering the top-end performance of F1, while giving small teams a better chance.

‘King George’ ‘Little Oscar’ and SLH44 followed by Lando for most points in last 10 races and George guys he’s behind Lewis atm, however he lost 50 points with the DNF in Silverstone and the 💩 FIAsco at Spa, They took out 1.8 ltr of fuel not just 1ltr as per the norm, and there were no marbles picked up to make the extra 700gms. Who knew the extra tyre wear would ultimately loss the race after he did so well to win it. 👀💯👍🏼
