vertical break is potentially quite serious as very often it may go through the core of the tooth and result in the pulp and nerve of the tooth becoming affected. If that happens then its almost certain that the tooth will need to be removed.

Are zygomatiques implants last forever?…
@BrunoSilva-ox2es2 ай бұрын
We hope that they would last forever however nothing is guaranteed. In our clinic we have been placing implants since 2013 and since have had multiple patients benefit from this treatment. Some cases are more complex than others and hence the chances of success will vary from patient to patient.
@ChrisJohns-xr8iv2 ай бұрын
Do you replace a failed implant that you had placed, without charging an additional fee?
@BrunoSilva-ox2es2 ай бұрын
that would depend on the type of failure and reasons for failure. If an implant fails during the initial implant placement phase ie within the first 12 months of placing then we would replace the implant at no charge. However in some cases when the implant fails after a few years then we would discuss the reasons for failure with the patient ie smoking, failure of maintaining oral hygiene, not attending regular reviews with the dentist then unfortunately the patient would need to contribute towards the cost of an implant replacement

How much
@brunodentist2 ай бұрын
that depends on the complexity of treatment. I would recommend that you seek to get a thorough dental implant assessment and then your dentist will be able to go through the costs in detail with you

Thank you Doctor. Is it ok to have 12 zirconia teeth, because they are heavy, on just 4 implants (all on 4, upper jaw)?
@brunodentist5 ай бұрын
yes that is totally ok.... the implant have to be correctly positioned and full integrated. Usually with 4 implants we aim for 10 teeth and if there is adequate bone we prefer to place 6 implants. It would be very specific to the particular patient and the amount of bone available, the opposing teeth, the length and strength of the implants. We have many patients with 12 teeth on 4 implants and they are working well.

Also I find it strange my implant broke recently and my x ray at the dentist said it’s a normal tooth it’s not I have an ultrasound that I can use n I saw it on that and I’m extremely worried and I’m scared to have it removed by an oral surgeon if they don’t have the right information and I am scared that my infection will be bad it’s been almost two weeks my implants extremely sharp I don’t feel right where I last had a tooth removed and I’m extremely freaked out until these people can get me treatment that’s covered because you see I’m on government assistance benefits and they might cover it I don’t know
@angelaschaefer58835 ай бұрын
You mean that you are on Medicaid or Medicare. Neither cover implants. They are not going to pay for them to be removed. Where did you go to have it done??? They or another dentist will have to remove it. You would be paying for all of it.

I have a question, although I saw 2 oral surgeons already... I have always had an issue with an extremely strong bite. I did an implant 7 months ago, after being with a flipper for a very long time (had no problem with the flipper..) I did the mistake of my life. I regret doing the implant every single moment, want to remove it. X-Ray and CT scan show a healthy Implant with a good engle. The oral surgeons told me removing it will bring bad consequences which be much worse then what I have now.. I am desperate to do something, desperate to remove it but I am not sure my mouth will ever be the same. Is there any suggestion for me? If I would know before I would never do an implant..

I got 6 implants now I got 3 infected. My dentist said because I have my real teeth on the bottom it got infected to my implants . I am not sure because of my teeth or not . Now I have to remove my implants and redo them and cost more money . And I can not a afford the bottom implant I decided to do snap in for the bottom teeth.

This tooth looks just like mine. I cracked off a piece of my molar last night on a kernal of popcorn that was harder than I thought. It is not painful but just kind of crushed when I bit down on the kernel and now has jagged edges and a piece near the filling is obviously missing. I hope I can find a dentist who will do this instead of insisting on a crown, root canal, or pulling the tooth. Is there a certain kind of dentist I should seek out who is skilled at this technique?

Literally no point to taking a diamond on a high speed to risk damaging the internal aspect of the fixture for a screw fragment that was as loose as that.

I had a chip on my 1-5, (or that is the tooth i heard the dentist call) and also a little bit on the one next to it. It wasn't from decay, but i suspect from grinding/clenching so much. The filling was so deep on the one tooth, that it pushed the crown apart. Problem is, i don't know what decision to make on it... i don't want a root canal or can't afford an implant. I had sensitivity for a few weeks coupled with the bit of pain if i chew with that tooth. I did have one day where i my teeth all ached on the top and bottom of that side of my mouth, but then i was fine the next day and the sensitivity is gone. The only thing is the pain i get from chewing something with that tooth, as i previously mentioned. I wonder if i can just get away with a crown put on?

the tooth dont even fit whats the point in fitting a brand new tooth if you then gotta ruin it by shaving the bottom of it to fit thats the whole point of a mold

This is probably just the temporary crown. A few months later, once the jawbone has healed and osseointegration has happened, they will apply the permanent crown.

can you answer me a question, I've been on medication for over 16 years due to an accident at work, but the Longterm use of the meds, have rotted my teeth, I've since discovered that some of the meds describe that there is after effect of taking these meds, due to that fact would i qualify for implants i only have some roots left and two rotten teeth left, I have also suffered for many years severe acid reflux, to a point that I had to have my Gaul bladder removed, it would be great with any advice as how or what position i stand in regards of implants, thank you/

Do large fillings cause a tooth to crack? And are these cracks usually called fractured cusps whereby they don't usually affect the pulp of the tooth?
@brunodentist Жыл бұрын
not always, yes large fillings can contribute to a tooth breaking but it depends on the shape of the filling. If the filling is wedge shaped and located between cusps of teeth which have already thin walls then yes it is possible to cause a fracture that involves the pulp of the tooth. Best advice is to see your dentist and check what they recommend for treatment.

Dental implant manufacturing companies should think about creating advanced, removable, removable dental implants in the event that the patient is exposed to the removal of the implant after its healing, in the event of an occurrence Any, emergency, they must make it have a way to extract
