Hey dude, how do you feel about this synth after owning it for a year?

J’écoute ce morceau de musique pour la 15 fois et c’est une des plus belles démo du Terra et du Cosmos que j’ai entendue ! Je ne m’en lasse pas !

I DO agree. I love you, Jay!!! I love this song so much. I hope we see more of my old Replay. Maybe spray paint it first? :)

The gr-1 sounds interesting, but I wonder if a 1010 lemon drop could sit in that spot and still get good results at a fraction of the cost
@JayHosking2 күн бұрын
Never tried the Lemon Drop, but people love the 1010 stuff. I would miss the interface, but you could be right!

That Eurorack Drum Machine is so cool. Current drum machines are either overly expensive sample players ore the make some funny sounds no one wants in their productions. This on the other hand sounds amzing and is apparently very tweakable. And you can always put in other modules if you really need something else. PS: the Pamelas Workout + the Mystics sound like a match made in heaven.

Vongon Replay is such dogshit. A scam of an “instrument.” I have to keep commenting this to dissuade people from being intrigued by it. The synth architecture is for preschoolers and its aesthetic is for wannabe influencers. I think it’s such a scummy release from what otherwise seems like a decent company. The price point is so beyond ridiculous for this garbage. I like and respect all your work. Just need to air this out since it’s being shilled by the synthfluencers

The skills and passion of the human being will always make up for any flaws in the machine. Well freaking done!

What a beautiful track! 🤩 Really enjoyed it including the collaboration with members of your Patreon community! The syncopated bridge starting @3:23 was 🔥🔥🔥!

What's the title of the song? (please don't say "Live Jam...") (...and please upload it to Spotify & Co! This is a hit. Just sayin')
@JayHosking3 күн бұрын
No idea what the name of the song is! I'll stew on it. Probably an EP of vocal songs including this one coming to Bandcamp soon, and it will make it to streaming platforms after that. And thanks so much!

It is not the possible options that make music good, but how skillfully you use and arrange them over time. IMO, you could leave more info about the parameters you are changing and throw out details about brands and models.

GREAT stuff! Can you post the words to the tune? I'd love to read through them as I listen again--and the tune is definitely worth re-hearing! Amazing collaboration!

Lyrics: Growing old's a question with no answer, don't you agree? Solitude's a salve, but it's a cancer eating at me. Everybody knows this is nowhere, that's what Neil says. But somewhere there's somebody who will find you worth more than praise. Don't answer. It's just your reflection making its way back. Don't answer. There's nothing to say here that you haven't said yet. And thanks!

Very, very sweet song Jay. Had to listen again but with my eyes closed to soak in the mood. Love the arrangement. A new favorite for sure and could very much see myself enjoying a fully polished album of these kinds of songs. In the meantime I recommend anyone liking this to listen to Tiger Lou's album A Partial Print - very reminiscent of the in mood and tone in this one❤
