Took ours apart today, didn't find anything stuck in the pump, can't hear a pump hum, does that mean it's a bad motor? All the wiring looks okay, I took the timer apart and cleaned the springs.

Having this issue with my Samsung Dryer DVE45T3200W. I haven't opened up the dryer yet, but if you would happen to know the part number of the board (I plan on replacing it) please pass it along. Thanks!

Based on the model number given, the main control board part number is DC92-02527E. Double check it and make sure your version can use it before ordering.

@@ryantheteknishun9377 Thanks! That is the correct part but unfortunetly they are out of stock everywhere. I think Samsung stopped making them. Trying to search for a replacement which will work. One site mentioned part DC92-03611J but I have no idea.

Check the auto circuit! Could be stuck-together timer contacts, bad circuit board never letting the timer advance, moisture sensor circuit problem, etc.

What are the specs / what is the part # of the Relay? A relay that has only 2 exposed terminals means.... there must be another 2 terminals that control the coil. I'm quite surprised those high-current contacts don't seem to have a 'snubber' circuit across them to dampen the spark when opening / closing. Is the service manual for this thing available?
@ryantheteknishun9377
@ryantheteknishun9377 Ай бұрын
Unfortunately I don’t have the part number for the relay in this video, but you’ll typically find it printed on whichever relay you’re replacing. There are service manuals available - on these modern Samsung machines they are usually sold or membership access only. A simple wiring diagram may be included with the machine. This relay has four terminals on bottom, so there’s the coil control.

@@ryantheteknishun9377 Thanks. My unit is potted with some sort of rubber-like semi-transparent material over the board. I guess it an be reverse-engineered; I would prefer those be solid-state relays as they would last longer (and cost more, true). I bought my dryer only about 1.5 years ago, and I don't expect it to crap out so soon! thanks again.

@@cheponisthe potting compound is to keep out dust and moisture and also deter DIY repairs. Doesn’t stop the determined ones! I’d much like to see how you’d work in a solid state relay application!

Couldn’t say. You have to check for shorts in the circuit elsewhere if the relay isn’t the problem. Find the wiring diagram for your model and get testing!

Unplug machine, pull the switch out and see why it’s stuck. If it’s broken internally, simply replace

Seems like piss-poor engineering that results in the corrosion of the bleach tray. Did they not know that bleach would contact the metal? Did they not know that bleach is corrosive? Dumb asses.

Thanks for the vid, would probably help greasing those wheel shaft before putting the wheel on. Also dang that's a lot of rust, you must live next to a salty ocean!
@ryantheteknishun9377
@ryantheteknishun9377 2 ай бұрын
Conventional wisdom would say to grease wheel shafts, however these dryer shafts aren’t designed for it. They and the wheel “bearings” are machined super smooth and whichever metals used allow for prolonged operation with no lubrication. Interestingly, using grease can be detrimental, since lint will stick to it and slowly collect and congeal on the wheels/shafts. I think this dryer was left outside for a while! (Rusty indeed)

Would it just better to get the whole dryer replaced?
@ryantheteknishun9377
@ryantheteknishun9377 2 ай бұрын
You would have to answer that yourself, my friend. There are many variables involved with that decision. How handy is the owner? Is the dryer stacked and replacing would be a PITA? Repair cost vs replace is another matter of greatly differing opinion. Some people just LOVE their machine and will pay a handsome fee to fix. Some throw it out at the first sign of trouble. Gotta weigh your pros and cons and reach a verdict!

This style of washer has laterally positioned suspension springs instead of suspension rods. The rods are used on the more modern models that replaced the old school direct drive models.

Hi Ryan,I’ve got this washer. I bought it new probably 10-15 years ago. I really don’t want to buy a new one. I can’t stand the electronic ones and I don’t want the lid to lock so I want this one to last. The problem is it spins inconsistently. Sometimes it’s fast and sometimes it spins slow. This is starting to happen more often. What do you think? Thank you.

Sounds like a failing clutch. If it spins fast empty but slow with a significant load, the clutch is slipping
