How long does it take to lower TSh and how long it took you to get pregnant? I just found out mine is at 11 and I’m struggling to get pregnant. Thanks ❤

After 8 miscarriages and 2 failed IVF treatments is when they caught my hypothyroidism. So many doctors just thought i was fat, joint pain and tired. Telling me that I needed just to lose weight and eat less when i was already only eating 1 meal a day for years. To finally find a doctor that knew what to look for and treat me was phenomenal! Started losing weight and 4 months later we became pregnant through IVF. 8 months pregnant now and so excited to start this new journey in our lives.❤

After our 1st baby I never managed to loose that last 10kgs and 4 years later (!!!), after trying for baby#2 for 1.5years..I've got a 1160 AntiTPO level and 6.66 TSH private lab back... got 2 6weeks old miscarriages and just don't see any hope at the moment to have quick action on NHS' side. :(

I was so inspired by the button/shoebox game that I made one for my twins the other day. They will be one next Wednesday, I introduced it to them with their occupational therapist and they absolutely love it! And the therapist was super impressed with the concept and how accessible it is (she works with a lot of low income families and I was able to make it for under $10). So thank you so much for sharing your toys!

Was your baby ok after birth? Is it healthy and strong like any other ? My husband is worried if we bring babies they will be weak because of my thyroid condition and prone to sickness... Well he is a worried some husband. And I got diagnosed when i was around 15 y old and by now 27 y old I am kind of getting it balanced,,,, took almost 10 y to balance me XD I want to have many babies and I am so worried about having natural birth and also having this condition of the body (same like you)
@beckyocole5 ай бұрын
You can always get genetic screening if you're really worried on that front. Or both of you could talk to a thyroid specialist and they will put your mind at rest with stats and what not! Best thing you can do is to get a really great health team around you, that's what I did and it's the best thing I did. They will make sure you're strong before you attempt conceiving and thats the most important thing. Lots of women have thyroid issues and go onto having healthy multiple births x

We bought this maybe a year or so ago and wish we used it more. I am not thrilled with some of the workbook K pages. And yes, the blue and purple are very similar on paper and the manipulates. I am STRUGGLING to figure out how to actually use it with my 4 kids. The Math guide takes some prep work and isn't laid out very well, in my opinion. I think we will just pull out a drawer and play for a while before trying to instruct. Thanks for your video. It was great even for someone that has one!

Ive been very unstructured with how I use it. My son really loves construction so I find he naturally knows what to do with it and it's been really great but we do jump from drawer to drawer and combine them as we wish! He is learning about 3D shapes at the moment and it's lovely to have some real ones to reinforce that. There defo isn't enough videos on it though, could do with a whole resource library to tuck into.

Thank you for sharing these ideas. I have been looking for people with Waldorf inspired mindset with similar experience as ours (my child has very similar disabilities.) Our occupational therapies here force scissor skills and writing, when it would be such a better received therapy meeting them with play. Again....thank you so very much to share your experience and ideas!

That's interesting! Do you find success with their approach? Ive always been gentle in offering toys/activities and if I see resistance I just try another day or just encourage one more time (lets do this one piece of puzzle then we'll read the book)... But it's amazing how much he's come on with his abilities and skills since Ive been using the lovevery toys as the spine of my OT kit! x
@jenndubmac6 ай бұрын
@SlowNaturalMama I think, as you would expect, the approach seems to either make my guy need more overwhelmed sensory support (jumping or ball pit time during therapy), or it seems like he just tries his best to hurry and finish it. I don't understand it, because I wouldn't expect it of a neurotypical kid either. If they don't want to do it, I'm like you, try another day or find another approach. Most of our sensory needs are finding ways to facilitate inputs to sub for eloping and oral inputs. We ended up getting a better sensory eval from our speech therapist that helped us find some supports for home. With your ideas here, I might be able to do some more investigating on our own.

I crocheted in cotton and wet felted in wool the first Fröbel ”play gift” before my baby was born. She’s two now and just today we colour sorted with the balls. Was reading up quite some on the original play gifts (the first one can be introduced bacically to a baby, number two and onwards after age three). But had not come across this remake of the original gifts.

Hi Becky! I enjoy your content so much! I just came across your channel and been binge watching for a few hours now lol. Your channel popped up on the search results after looking for moms who went through pregnancy with Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis (I’m going through that myself). I was wondering if you were also prescribed baby aspirin to prevent preeclampsia. I didn’t hear you mention anything about that on your videos.

Hi Becky, great to have a little autumn book update from you. I've just ordered second hand copies of both those Daniela Drescher books you shared and now I've even more excited for them to arrive : ) Wondering if you're still doing morning baskets with your youngest? I know you shared you eldest has started at school now, is you youngest still at home? If you are still doing a morning basket would love to see a video on that or general home ed content. x

Thank you for charing this autumnal collection. Very inspiring, as always. My autistic son is now way too old for childrens books, but we had always fun reading picture books together and it was part of our daily morning routine when he was little. Now Ím collecting childrens books for myself and for little guests. Greetings from Germany.
