Outside, the Bullring are a mushy mess. They are OK inside in rounds but we didn't get a go at change ringing!! I have done Plain Hunt 13 and witnessed Erin Sextuples at Painswick but you'd need some darn good acoustics for a 14 or 16!! I see Ossett are being augmented to 14 as well so Winchester will no longer be alone!!

I don't know about 12 being enough. I've rung in an uncovered peal of Sextuples on the straight 13 at Escrick and wouldn't mind a pop at a higher number ring, I'd struggle at the Bullring maybe as I was led to believe the front end are (or were) quiet.

I've rung there! They are raising money to have those bells removed and a proper bell-metal ring put in their place, also, we could only ring 7 because i think it is the 7th that was and still is now lying on it's side after dropping of the bearings whilst they were ringing a few months back.

Lovely sound! They actually sound, to me, a couple of cwt heavier than they actually are - they sound more like 22/23cwt rather than 19!! What are they like to ring?

@LottieBTS Winchester also sound good, and go very well. It was one of my earliest towers (10th, tower, rung there in summer 2006) and it was one hell of an experience!! Ironic really that theres 3 16's, yet only 1 14!!

Love the back 8!! And again, the tenor sounds glorious!! Pleasant front 8, but nothing to the back 8!! I still say 16 is too many... 12's enough, 14 at Winchester was FUN!!!
