Your garden is looking really nice. I love the Dahlia "Edinburgh". I lost all of my Dahlias this year as they rotted with all the rain that we had. My own fault as I didn't lift them last year. I normally get away with it. I've never grown Straw flowers before but I will next year as yours are gorgeous. Your Begonias are super especially the yellow ones. You've got some lovely colour combinations that really pop. The blue Hydrangea and those Lilies go so well together. I was buying some gardening bits today and the lady serving me asked if I have a gardening business or just like gardening. I know I buy a lot of plants but I didn't think I was that bad.

Aw thank you so much 😊. I also lost all of my dahlias. I tried storing them in my wee zippy grozone and didn’t really there was a tear and they got all soggy and rotted. I’m definitely going to try strawflowers again next year. I should have had a lot more but the slugs got a few. That’s so funny, the lady thinking you had a garden business, I think we can understand why people come to that conclusion 🤣. I could honestly fill my garden with hydrangeas, I love the big blue one but I think my favourite now is the Annabelle one. I could have loads of them in my garden 😬. Thank you so much for watching again, I really appreciate it and your kind comments 🥰

Looking lovely. I love the look of lilies but hate the smell. Also, they are really toxic so because I have the chickens and cat roaming in the garden, I don’t grow them. I don’t have agapanthus in the garden and am looking for different perennials to grow so may well add this to the list. Any other recommendations? Have a great week. Mags.

Thank you, aw that’s a shame that you can’t have lilies although I’d much rather have chickens and cat than lilies. My cats are indoor so I don’t need to worry about. I just can’t have any flowers inside as they want to eat any kind of plant. I’ve been really happy with my Rudbeckia ( I can’t remember if you have one). Mines is just the basic one and it’s came back for 3 years now and I’ve managed to get another few from it. I also am loving brunnera too, it’s seeming quite hardy so far. Thank you so much for taking time from your day to watch me potter. I hope you are having a great day. Actually I meant to ask what area in Scotland you are? (I am Stirling area) 🥰

I really like your new potting bench that you made. I need something like that as my picnic table didn't hold up this year. It's been on its last legs for a couple of years. I've got some Sweet William seedlings growing away that I grew from bought seeds but I may sow some from my own plants that have finished flowering now. I'm hoping my Agapanthus look as good as yours. I got them free with a plant order but all I've got at the moment is leaves and no heads. Those Lilies are stunning. We had a great holiday and I loved my morning at David Austin's rose place. We practically had the place to ourselves. Had a job choosing which roses I wanted to buy as I could've bought them all if I had the money! Came away with four but I've no idea where I'm going to put them as my garden is full to the brim. Typical me, I don't think things through! Looks like you're having some good weather at last.

I am so glad you had a good time at David Austin Roses. How amazing getting 4 but you have to make it worth going 😬. I am sure you will find the perfect spots for them. My Agapanthus didn’t flower last year when I first got them. I only got leaves then too but then this year they’re looking fab so maybe they need a year to develop or something. I’m loving the lilies but there are so many lily beetles, it’s unbelievable. I love my potting bench and even better that it didn’t cost anything. That’s a shame about your picnic bench, I had to get one at the right height as it was killing my back. I hope you are having a great day! Xx

I already have a cutting from the white Annabelle that I took maybe September last year year. It’s really small but relatively healthy. I’m wary of doing much with it just now incase it dies. My mum was from Linlathen, Dundee but she moved away when she married my dad. We used to visit my grandparents but I don't really remember much about it as I was only small. I've got a cousin who lives in Broughty Ferry. I love Scotland and we had a holiday not that long ago in Kyle of Lochalsh then another year visiting The Borders. I can honestly say that the food was out of this world. (How I judge a holiday!) It's just a shame that the journey from Cheshire is such a long one otherwise we'd be holidaying there all the time. The plant with the giant leaves is called Gunnera, also known as giant rhubarb. I heard the other day that it's being banned as it's so invasive. My brother has it in his garden which can take a plant of that size. My garden is a lot smaller. I can see why you love that garden centre as It looks like it's got a bit of everything. Your Sunflower is looking lovely. Mine are no way near flowering as I had to re-sow quite late. Think I told you before that the germination wasn't good first time around plus the ones that did come through got munched. Thank you so much, I can see it all coming together a lot more now so I’m definitely feeling happier about it. I’m hoping my begonias will be ok , the only thing is with being small if they’ll bloom where they are. I forget sometimes that my shade isn’t the same as shade in hot parts of America lol 🙈. Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to comment 🥰
