Not only do we have Jesus Son for you, we've got sleepers, grind, everyone says i love you, waking the dead, without limits, hi lo country and the rest of his first 13 movies. They're in the Billy Crudup playlist on our channel or whatever podcast app. They were in the very first season of this back in 2022.

Like why didn't we cover the Prefontaine Crudup movie? We did, it's in the playlist on here for Crudup episodes. It's maybe the 7th episode of the show we ever did, it's before we added clips.

Absolutely great podcast. Very entertaining. Thanks One thing though… Turkish and Tommy’s fighter was named Gorgeous George. Bomber Harris is the guy Mickey (Brad Pitt) fights.

Neat channel. Liked and subbed. Going back to the beginning of this playlist will check all of them out. You know Brad Pitt really hasnt had that many $100m hits, sure alot of interesting movies even Troy flawed as it is didnt hit the billion dollar mark. I mean DiCaprio, Depp, Matt Damon and Clooney their movies made larger profits. I am not saying Pitt made bad movies but really not huge money makers. Too bad you dont have Moneyball on the list. 😮😊
@wedoingfilmographies71637 ай бұрын
That's interesting. I never really gave it much thought, but I believe it. Moneyball is in the mix next December. There's a bunch of them I'm kind of excited to get to. I think at the moment, we're both suffering Pitt fatigue.

Jason and Jules, you came close in your observations of “Static” but missed a lot of golden Easter eggs in the film. Such a brilliant film!

There's a lot to like in it. I think about those lizard masks sometimes. If you're a Keith fan, we tracked down a vhs of "My Palikari/silent rebellion", which was our white whale for a bit. Going to try and make that one a video episode as well, with clips. Will probably be a few months, though.

In True Detective there is a scene where Rust Cohle describes what the cartels will do to you if caught undercover. Part of the gruesome tactic ends up with one choking on their own genitals. Blood Meridian has a passage about some Comanches cutting off the genitals of enemies and shoving into their throats while they sodomize them. I can’t think of a scene in a movie where we actually get the visual.

Don't worry, we got it in the tv episode. It was supposed to be another ec comics show I think, but they just split up the shorts from that and they all became tales from the crypt episodes. Weirdly good.

Maybe Megalopolis will be great since he sold the winery to finance it. 😅 I love the early Coppolas but am also a Dracula and One From The Heart apologist. Lotta effort and weirdness went in those two.

I met a member of the cast- (Cindra Feuer as Delia) - here in Durban about 7 years ago and thought to myself I'd like to see this movie. So I just happened to find it on youtube!, downloaded it and watched it. I absolutely loved it and sing its praises to anybody prepared to listen. In particular the Oscar-worthy performances of Ali Sheedy and Patricia Clarkson

I feel like you guys didn't pay attention while you were watching this. lol The crippled boy was 6 when he was killed in 1906. Mom dies in childbirth in 1900. The 1909 journal belonged to the girl who was the daughter of the next family who owned the house after the Carmichaels left. She was the one killed by the coal cart in 1909. They find that part out from the microfiche, and that part is before the seance. The seance is suggested by the University parapsychologist who Russell goes to see when he doesn't know what to do next. The family fortune belonged to the murderer's father-in-law, who dies in 1905 and stipulated in his will that the fortune goes to the kid. Kid has to live to be 21 or the fortune goes to charity and dad is shut out. The ghost rolls the ball down the stairs, then John goes to the bridge and throws it in the water. Then the ball rolls down the stairs AGAIN after he gets home, and the ball is wet. The parapsychologist told him teleportation of objects was common in these cases. The medallion is a catholic baptismal medal, I still have mine. Obviously dad was careless and put the kid's body in the well without retrieving it, so he had to have another one made for the orphan. The ghost is just throwing a destructive tantrum near the end, until it can have a reckoning with the boy who replaced him. He's a six year old kid after all. Just lashing out. It's also not weird for a famous composer to have a wife who's, say, ten years younger than him. So a 52-year-old with a ten year old daughter isn't far-fetched.
@wedoingfilmographies7163 Жыл бұрын
I think we made it clear that babies come out of the vagina wearing the medallion. They are made in the womb. This is wildly insightful and I'm putting it in the episode we are recording in 40 mins. Thanks!
