there's plenty of parking lots in that city we do not need any more!! we need new buildings facing the sidewalk that makes and downtown area walkable like it needs to be no more parking lots please!!! also we can develop so many parking garages that can bring more jobs into the area also we need more street parking available on all street and I'm talking parallel parking street parking not pulling in forward, the reason for that is so we can have bike lanes on the side next to street parking and people can use their car mirrors to look over for on coming traffic and bikes!! pulling out backwards make it difficult to see... im a 21 year old trying to get into this developing stuff and the downtown area is not in good condition i hope to see you guys soon when i make all my blueprints to help okc have a real downtown area that can be seen as a real city!!

What does the Spirit of St. Louis have to do with Oklahoma's heritage of flight or commercial aviation? Will Rogers had no ties to that plane or Amelia Earhart. Why did we skip over ALL of the HERITAGE Will Rogers brings to this namesake to feature incongruent content?

It's awesome we live in a society wherein a person overseeing one of the largest portions of a city's budget along with almost 1,300 people underneath them, many of whom are HEAVILY armed and armored with little to no consequential oversight is NOT an elected position. I can smell the freedom and transparency from here.

The expectation is that the three south OKC pedertrian bridges will be replaced not fixed by putting "lipstick on a pig" - NO YARN INSTALLATIONS. We expect to see real investment in south OKC. 5.3 million dollars was spent on one pedestrian bridge over NW Expessway. South OKC residents and neighborhoods are not second class citizens and its time for OKC to stop underfunding and underserving South OKC!!!

It would be really amazing if you would fix the street the pot holes the trash and everything else that is left laying next to the street At Southeast Bryant and 15th street. If you would like I can send you a map because you haven't found this place in 3 years. You say it's not yours but Del City says it's not theirs. Make uo your mind Children.

Will Rogers needs to be more prominent in the logos. Why do we keep paying consultants who default to OKC or Oklahoma? it's boring and lacks imagination.

It's not boring to promote Oklahoma City's name, since it IS Oklahoma City and OKC is competing with other major cities, and is trying to identify itself moreso as a destination.

I don't disagree- they could have also used something design-wise other than straight lettering - they could have just used a typeset/design that used a lasso and integrated it. The font imo isn't striking enough alone, it really needs a strong background color to stand out (which they did use in examples) - the scissortail flycatcher is really nice but I want to see it more

For the most part airports *don't* identify with the honorific name though. You don't say "I have a layover at Hartsfield-Jackson, then land at Logan". People say "ATL" and "Boston". The only place the honorific name stands out is places where there are more than one main airport (O'Hare/Midway, Bush/Hobby), and even then, one of them often defaults to the IATA code (DFW/Love Field, BWI/Regan/Dulles, JFK/Newark/La Guardia), and those airports logos all focus on their abbreviation/code. This will be readily recognizable to most fliers, way more than "Will Rogers". It can be super imaginative but if it isnt recognizable, it doesn't work.

The complaint is about the amount of cars…not whether or not people are using drugs or not. The complaint is not about whether there are success stories or not. Lack of consideration to the neighborhood that are home owners.

This video is BS. If potholes are EVER repaired, this is NOT how they ACTUALLY do it in practice, and isn’t even the correct, most efficient, or even a sustainable way to repair an asphalt road. Some huge sinking potholes on the outside southbound lane of Meridian between 50th and 39th took FOREVER to repair, and look like some cold patch was just thrown down with a flat shovel, and then driven over by truck tires. A large uneven area on the inside East bound lane of NW 63rd, across from the Rollingwood elementary school was torn out and replaced with concrete, even though the road is asphalt. I have no logical reason why the city most often chooses to use concrete as a patch in asphalt roads, and asphalt often as a patch in concrete roads. Asphalt is infinitely recyclable with only a simple process and some lubricative additives, so why they inconvenience drivers for weeks waiting for concrete to cure, and not simply remove the millings and re-process with what they already have instead of having to pay for removal and disposal, as well as new materials and extra labor to remove and pour concrete every chance they get, is beyond me. Also as far as a sustainability and health issue, concrete uses a lot of sand which as anyone who does concrete work, is a specific type of sand to make mix with, not just the stuff you find on a beach, and that correct type of sand is beginning to run out globally, not to mention the tremendous effort and processes involved with making cement and concrete, also the SIGNIFICANT environmental impacts of the formation and curing of concrete. Also the dust contains silicate material when it’s cut by road saws, which is significantly harmful to workers and innocent bystanders alike. It would be a better choice to leave the potholes given the haphazard way they are dealt with, and spend that taxpayer money on re-striping roads that, when raining at night, or even in the daylight for some, a person can’t even make out the lanes or crosswalks. I have lived in OKC for the better part of a decade, and they way the road maintenance is handled is atrocious, one road that comes to mind is 63rd between Meridian and Rockwell, the thing is awful and has, I’m sure, cracked many wheels and broken many suspension parts over my time living here. We pay taxes, this MAPS system is a joke, we just need to pay more in taxes and have that money be TRANSPARENTLY spent on useful things, not 57 Chevy bridges with broken lights over NW expressway that almost nobody uses, stupid bicycle sharing projects that have a high initial taxpayer cost, but end up sold for scrap value a short time later, some trolley that only serves a small area and cost an EXORBITANT amount for the ACTUAL service it offers compared to electric busses, hundreds of millions for a jail instead of spending that money on homeless and mental health services, millions to block off sidewalks under overpassed like the one on Penn with huge boulders to punish the homeless even though a child on their bike or a physically challenged person in a wheeled chair can’t go through, and while I’m ranting on only a SMALL number of deficiencies I’ve seen, how about the ridiculously idiotic traffic light timing throughout the city? This city really has to get it together, and start visiting other states to see how they do things, and start incorporating and adopting solutions that actually WORK for its citizens, rather than slipshod half-measures that “just get it done” instead of getting things done right. The powers that be forget that they serve the masses, not the other way around, and they need to get in touch with the voice of the people who hire and elect them to enact changes THE CITIZENS want, not the other way around. This city does not care about the citizens.

This isn't a request for me to build something (I'm only 15) I was just going to suggest using some of the cities beautification money on the bridges that go across the river into downtown OKC. I think a good design would be making them look like the Pittsburg bridges, but blue to match the Oklahoma flag. I think it would definitely make the city look a bit nicer. Another thing to add is adding more neon lights to the city, I think are city does lack lights, more neon lights and signs can really make a city look nicer and stand out, that's why automobile alley stands out and gets the attention it gets.

My sweet neighbors fighting for our freedom from urban sprawl and greedy OKC leaders attempting to take our beautiful land to build a "mega" site is heartbreaking. The opportunist that rapes our farmlands and natural habitats that flourish here and the traditions of our forefathers is repugnant! The fist bumping from this individual after her speech and after the yes vote knowing the intent is to steal our serenity and well-being is not only disrespectful, but terribly distasteful. The lack of empathy and compassion for landowners and their family members before them and to the ones laid to rest here that spent their life savings to have peace from industrial and city pollution is mind blowing. You have done nothing but woke us landowners to fight with all we have to keep what we have built with nothing, but blood swear and tears.
