I think it would take place probably between 1993 to 2001 that is if it’s a prequel as most of the los cinco muertes islands definitely had ruins as told in the lore I would also have to say that on one of the official websites probably DPG or something it says that the 5 deaths islands chain was littered with poacher vessels and they don’t directly speak of sorna so who knows maybe it’s one of the other islands possibly explaining the helicopter but who knows By the way Great video

One of the easiest ways to improve this series would have been to reduce its runtime to just 6 episodes by moving much of the live action footage to one of Netflix and Silverback picture's standard nature programs like Our Planet II. That would have been easy and would have cost nothing. Why they felt the need to make this 8 episodes when they clearly didn't have enough paleo content for such a runtime is baffling. The editing of this series is a mess making it hard to keep track of where we are in the timeline with its constant jumps. So many easily avoidable mistakes kept this series from being what it should have been. Overall the series was alright and had a few standout moments but I was still disappointed with it. A second season has been confirmed containing only 4 episodes and primarily focusing on the dinosaurs. I hope it learns from the mistakes of the first season and has a more tight narrative

2014 is really the movie that made me become a serious fan. Before that i saw images of "godzilla the series" which came after 1998's zilla. But after 2014 is when i really became a fan. Only complaint. We barely see the monsters and its dark as hell sometimes.

Austroraptor is such an Interesting creature and I’m happy to have gotten recommended this video, I bet we can all agree it’s a Blessing that so many dinosaur related video games include it in there rosters. Also correct me if I’m wrong, Austroraptor isn’t the same SIZE, rather around or even taller than achillobator and Utahraptor, a Slim Giant perchance.

It had a good idea , don't get me wrong. The modern animal segments were fine , but if I wanted to watch it then I'd watch Planet Earth or a BBC animal documentary. Hopefully the second season improves.

This 2014 film was much better than all these MCU-style Godzilla and King Kong "monsterverse" movies recently coming out of Hollywood

They marketed the documentary as a dinosaur documentary, even though the share of dinosaurs in the documentary was only small and included only a few species. They gave the audience a false promise and people were disappointed when the documentary didn't live up to the hype and high expectations. For example, many expected, because of the image created by marketing, that it would have been similar to Prehistoric Planet.

Hot take It's the monster verse's man of steel. When it came out, it felt a little underwhelming. Now that we have had an almost oversaturation of Godzilla, it restrained and dark direction is soooo good after all this time.

I'm sorry you didn't grow up with the monster movies, especially Gollyzilla, made for a wonderful childhood.

GvK and GxK make me appreciate this film so much more. I love the weight and atmosphere that Godzilla has in this. Also the SFX is just astounding. Now they just press the godzilla roar button at random points.

Just curious, in your research did you discover why they thought it had such short fore limbs? From your images of the remains found there weren't any remnants of the fore limbs so how do we assume they are so short and stocky.

It's a tough call imo bc a lower jaw does suggest the overall proportion of the animal. Bur on the other hand it could have just had a massive mouth in relation to the rest of its body due to what its primary food source. I hope they find more fossils in the future to give us a more complete picture
