Low to medium flame, you don't want to burn the butter. After the orzo becomes brown, then add the rice & cook until the rice is a little translucent.

Has anyone doubled this recipe ? I have a pan 14”x 3.5” that is actually double what is called for, so why make one cake when I have a pan that will double the goodness.

Looks good, but I have to state that this is NOT Adana kebab, at least not the Turkish version of it. There are too many ingredients that are NEVER used in Adana kebab in Turkey, such as onion, parsley, and black pepper. Also, looks like you used ground beef here, while we use 100% ground lamb here. The classic Adana kebab typically consists of lamb meat, tail fat, salt, and sometimes red pepper (only if you ask for it spicy). That's all. The distinctive Adana flavor comes from the lamb meat and tail fat.
