When I got him he was a baby . He was given to me in a cottage cheese container. The males get larger then the females also.

I still have them . I have a few new ones popping up that I will have to transplant. People who never saw one are always amazed. Getting them to grow really big can be a challenge

A friend gave me a baby one with only 1 think root (the root that stays above the soil), not the real roots. How to incurage it to root and grow?

That root needs to find the soil. Otherwise, the plant won't survive ,so don't worry about burying it .The plant will get runners once it's established.

Rat Rod bikes has not posted anything for 2024 but you can join their page and click on events. It is sad that they skipped this year. Bicycle heaven had one recently in Pennsylvania but that was to far for me but it probably was awesome 👌
